Thinkin about buying an 88 yota with the V6, takin the bed off and movin the gas tank up there and weldin a roll cage around the whole and removin the front fends and makin a more custom ones. puttin a 6 inch lift and 33s with lockers. anyone got any ideas? if ur gonna get a toyota pick up get the 4 instead of the 6, they are more trust worthy and get through a lot, but if you feel u need more power drop in a 305 or 350. other wise sounds good toyota's make great trail trucks.

hey i got a 92 with a v6 4.5 lifted and a 2inch body lifted with 33s thing gose every where leave the box on looks better

It will clear 33's with just a 3" body lift with very very little tire rub. Only when you bottom real hard with it full turn. 4cyl. all the way, avoid the V6, I have V6 5sp in a 90 4runner on 33's now and it's a turd! Stick with the 4cyl and regear it. You will be much happier. 4:88's work nice with the 4cyl and 33's. V6's burn valves and blow out spark plugs real easy. Only real down fall to the 4cyl's is poor top end oiling, just keep an eye on oil level. Have fun!!!
