Those aren't very sturdy, or good bashers. The T/E Maxx and revo are much more sturdy, light and better suspention. Revo best with it's inboard cantilever suspention is progressive and have longest travel of any truck. Semi-monocoque give low center of gravity, plastic sealed drive-shaft are easy to assemble, doesn't need lubing and are lighter then steel CVDs. Limited slip x-ring silicon sealed diffs, sealed pivot ball suspention, and less parts of easier dissection.

more speed=less stability=engine gets fucked faster=more cash 2 spend. on brushless u can put out 140 kmh but the engine will die very very very fast in less then 1 day... i got a kyosho mp 7.5 (nitro) and i can put out 100 on it but the engine gets very hot, wich is bad

5s lipo on a revo should do nothing less. that many volts i would hope you'd get wheelies at any speed. one gripe, you can't use diesel power as the soundtrack of an electric, bad things will happen.

because its cheaper, nowhere near as messy, smelly or loud. you have more torque and more power. eg after buying 2 battery packs you can have one on charge while you run the other one, so running constantly instead of going through a $15 litre of fuel every 15 mins, you spend about 20c on power to recharge your pack

electric is more of a plug and play, where nitro is alot of tweaking, both are alot of fun i have a brushless rustler and a nitro buggy, enjoy both, but all in all i lean toward the brushless

it would also probably overheat - you can't counter the torque of a big brushless motor like that with gearing, the motor is designed for boats and planes with a constand mid-amp draw (around 60-70A maybe), not a revo with a normal continuous of about 15A that spikes at 200A. Gearing it up would make it spike harder = dead esc and motor.

Revo's are the only good traxxas vehicles and that's not saying much. I say go buy a spektrum transmitter so you can controll the power better and race it. Other than it being a traxxas, nice truck. I got a Mugen mbx5t and a xxx bk2 brushless.

I'm building a 2nd one. This time a 3.3 chassis, ext arms, CD and different layout. The new one does not wheelie at all, but just plants and goes. Alot more accel even on 4S, but now my rear diffs hate me. I don't drive like mad all the time tho.

If you want to be able to use WOT without wheeling, you can try the following: 1. Add weight to the front of the vechile (e.g. a bag full of lead shot - you can then add & remove lead shot until it performs as desired)

2. Move drive battery to a location closer to the front of the model

This in effect makes it a front-wheel-drive car, and as we all know, a front wheel drive car can't wheelie under acceleration. Well, when it wheelies in the video, all the power is going through the rear driveshafts alone. This shows that the rear driveshafts alone can cope with the torque of the motor without blowing up, and hence the front driveshafts alone should be able to cope with all the torque in the same way. I suppose the best way then is to be easy with the throttle. However, moving the battery forwards won't add weight to the car, but should shift the COG forwards enough to stop the wheelie problem

Why BL?

Faster accel& top end. No mess, no maint, and I can drive it anywhere/anytime w/o complaints or cops. Its runs the same if its hot/cold, day/night, low press/hi press, full moon or new. Plug in and go. No starters, fuel, burnt plugs. Lipos give me 30-60 min runtime (speed runs to bashing.)

Selling the nitro crap bought all the BL & conv stuff. The batt cost no more than a few gal of nitro. E vs Nitro used to be easy vs power, BL = more of both.

put tape inside the tire  boil the tire seperate from the rim turn tire inside out scratch with sand paper denature alchahol it then put duct or gorilla ex. thick works best wrap all the way around and over lap a vittle bit you will have to do it twice because its wide but it will reduce alot of balooning not all but most

brushless electric is the only way really to get beyond 75 mph without spending much, in fact the recognised world recored for an rc electric turing car is 111 mph while nitro fuel is around 90 mph, and thats with alot of modifications that aint cheap

The Revo is an electric conversion with an Emaxx tranny and a Mamba Max controller, & 8xl brushless motor. All else is stock. Nothing expensive actually. :)

Stock wheels, it does 48mph (radar) reliably, with 30+ min runtime on 8000mah batts. Brutal power from a plug-in & go setup. I love it.
