  • Little known fact: This is the only Knicks playoff victory in Chicago in the history of the New York Knicks. The Bulls are 18-1 lifetime at home against the Knicks in the playoffs.

  • that move EWING did at 4:41 was one of the greatest ever by a center

  • holy smokes man EVERY SINGLE SHOT BY A PLAYER LOOKED SO HARD TO MAKE thats some crazy defense. i'd be lucky enough if i scored a bucket or 2

  • You know Jordan is the G.O.A.T. when his 29 PPG against NY in 91 was his playoff series low.

  • @2pacinseattle lolll

  • I love how after Oakley hammers 7"1" Cartwright, everybody on both teams just looks around as opposed to jumping in and doing whatever jostling they would do today, ultimately bringing more attention to the foul... BTW love Riley's reaction, he doesn't even care

  • I like the physical play of the 80's and 90's, the game was much more exciting. Todays game is just weak, players are bigger and stronger, but they dont want to bang.

  • This was the best Eastern Conference playoff series I can remember from the past 20 years by far. I think that if the Knicks had made it through they would've beaten the Trailblazers in 6 games like the Bulls did. Problem was, MJ and Pip weren't havin it!!

  • I'm glad the dirty-ass playing Knicks got what they deserved in the end...Their ass kicked.

  • This was a tough series, I remember watching this shit.

  • man paxson was friggin huge for the bulls, nd by tha ForEmily23 wassup wit ya,and one of my associates thinks Lebron James is better than Michael Jordan , but luk up to at least dis season which is is Mj's 8th year and bout 31 but STIL!! dominating, giv him more evidence why he prob won't and if he will you can say that also, o and WEN R YOU GON START makin dese BOMB-AZZ!!! videos ma we waitin for ya

  • the bangin back then 8:15 much more physical game was allowed. This is like honey on a bar of butter 7:59 MJ - have ball, will score!

  • 1992-1994 knicks were the best knicks team ever assembled. Its hard to imagine they couldn't win atleast one championship in those 3 years.

This shows how tough MJ was mentally MJ was. depriving every deserving opponent of the ring.

  • It's just nice to hear a crowd that's into the game.

Now all you hear is the damn Jumbo-tron blaring clamorous nonsense.

  • the move at 7:50 classic mike...foot work...gahlee....

  • nice drive at 7:13

  • When Michael got you in that post during that era, it was like a torture chamber. I don't care how good an opposing player was defensively. Jordan just had a million and one post moves and impeccable balance.

  • Well fucking said. No one in the world can do what he has done.

  • He was really strong too.

  • the defense in that era was really awesome,i don't think active players can score as many as they do now under such defense.

  • man Ewing destroyed Cartwright in this game

  • Ewing played like a maniac. True NBA Legend unlike these overrated thugs I see today!

  • Pat just amazing!

  • NY did so well on defensive end that even MJ scored only 31 points.less than his playoff average

  • glad this is posted ,but i lived these games...kinda hard to watch, only time we beat them was when JORDAN was in retirement.and it still took 7 games to beat a s. pippen led team.....

  • As a Chicago native, whom also lived these games, it's good to see someone on the opposing side that tells it like it is.

  • ewing was the best worst shot taker maker lol

  • people talk about how physical the detroit series was,but damn, bodies were flying everywhere when these two collided! bulls finally take care of the bad boys in detroit and find the physical knicks the next year

  • That move by Ewing at the 4:00 was crazy. I never saw him move like that--taking Cartwright off the dribble.

  • even tho he just got his claim to the hall of fame recently i still think Pat ewing would just have URGES to do a move and not stickin to what he could do he went and wanted to try thing and they always ended up sloppy lol

  • because they didnt sign rodman and longley until 1996

  • if i can see im pretty sure there starting line up for this game is B.J.(1), PAXSON (2), JORDAN (3), PIPPEN (4) and GRANT at the (5)..............is that correct plz comment

  • I believe the starting five was Paxson, Jordan, Pippen, Grant, Cartwright

  • @ForEmily23 Yes, it was.

  • That was their base starting 5 from 89-90 to 91-92

  • The NBA today is like toilet tissue: soft.....there are too many crybabies in the league who care more about their contracts than playing the sport with passion and fire.....they should call it the NBPA.....National Basketball for Pussies Association

  • the best player ever!!!!!!!! freakpixel

  • watch?v=0uaGiOpq-Mc

  • this series is in my opinion the greatest ever!

  • what a series!! the knicks back then were awesome.. too bad they played against the GOAT!! the knicks defense was great.. but still, michael can't be handled!! the greatest indeed!!

  • thats what u call a man's game, real defense, no fines, no ejections, no suspensions, just real basketball. now the NBA is the WNBA

  • One of the greatest playoff series and rivalries ever

  • Great game again, by the way baldheadkid has game 3 and 4 allready on youtube

  • Great job on the uploads. This was such a physical series. Notice at the 8:17 mark, Ewing and Cartwirght are literally in a wrestling match and the ref lets them keep playing. Not in today's game.

  • "Mad House @ Madison" or "The Mecca of Basketball". Take your pick. Both arenas starred the legendary "Air" attack. Be it, mid '80s classics of 45+ points cradle & facial dunks outburst or early to mid '90s battling out the toughest defense ever invented within the rules scrouching 54 pts, 55 pts outbursts. When smoke cleared & dusk settled, only humans left gasping for breath were Knicks fans & their beloved Knickerborkers. Absolute Classic & toughest rivalry in modern day NBA. case closed.

  • this is the greatest defense you will ever face along with the bad boy pistons those knicks teams were badass

  • The Bulls & Knicks battles were legendary. It was a huge rivalry and the intensity of it showed everytime they got together. As much as MJ loved to play at CS he loved to scorch the Knicks at MSG. His 55 pt. game is most memorable.

  • my favourite playoff series of alltime you cant get any better than bulls & knicks battles

  • Thanx for posting this one...

Is this your new project by the way,ECSF 92??

  • sure is... games 1-7

    thanks for watching

  • If thats the case then I can barely wait...

I remember thinking a month ago how few new MJ games were beeing uploading then all of the sudden there were all over the place...

You`re really delivering the goods bro evendough veiwers numbers don`t seem to justify it.Quality-wise they are as good as anybodys..Just keep in mind that Hoops was a small-time at first, but look at him now,I guess everybody has to pay the dues...

Don`t see any reason why you shouldn`t be in the same category

  • sometimes down the line..

    Keep up the good work!!!

  • I think hoops has 7 but hell you can't get enough of the Bulls and Knicks

  • Ewing was nasty in that game!!!

  • Yeah he was, this is when Ewing really started making a name for himself in the NBA, meaning becoming a prime time player

  • Notice how at 7:15 Ewing is playing zone inside the paint. A little while later we see the Knicks playing a zone inside the paint. Don't tell me Jordan never faced the zone defense!

That Knicks defense from the early 90s is probably the toughest defense ever in the history of the game. A hundred times tougher, and allowed WAY more leeway as far as physical play goes, than any defense today.

  • " thats ridiculous thats so good"... this game could be made into a highlight video by itself for Jordan.. you get one guy in todays game doing that now and they would make headlines for days.. for Jordan, just another game..

  • nice nice

    :)

  • Great upload, thx

Funny how easily people forget. He was making splitting and avoiding double and triple teams, as basic as a layup. It was as if he was a step ahead of them at all times.

  • @8:15, in today's era and its soft rules, Cartwright would have been suspended for the rest of the playoffs lol!

  • good post, thanks. :) keep it coming.

  • Those Bulls/Knicks playoff series were brutal and fun to watch. Nice vid!
