In this project, the energy transfer is from mechanical to mechanical. But if someone tries to transfer energy from mechanical to electrical and again electrical to mechanical, then it is loss of energy, it will not be that much efficient.

from what distance is the water being pulled up?

At presnet it is 1 meter only, but I tested it for 3-4 meters also.

Nice video. It looks like a complete mechanical windpump system. Does anyone know if an electric generator winmill running an electric pump would pump more water out or not?
