Hey, this is great, but if you keep a "perch" with your pointer finger and thumb, you'll have a lot more control over your mallets, and it makes playing so much easier once you get used to having it like that. Btw, nice lateral rolls :D

@korllark1 Ability in one particular percussion instrument doesn't mean somebody has that ability in all areas. I've played the marimba for 13 years and I've taught keyboard percussion for 7. I can play a marimba at an advanced level but put me behind some drums, especially a drumset and I would say I'm only competent.

He could be phenomenal at both, but they are very different skill sets.
