I just got a PS3 Uncharted bundle in the mail the other day. If I left my discs in the PS3 and went back to play it wouldn't read my games. I went to recovery mode, pressed option 3, followed the instructions, and now it reads my games again. I'm told it was a firmware thingy. Whatever. It works now. Brand new PS3. Only days old and wouldn't read. Now it does. Thank Go. Sending it back is a pain in the butt.

@zuesk98 \ you should format you ps3 drive with your computer first then let the ps3 format it again after your computer. If that fails you might need a new hard drive

i hold the power button and it didnt turn off at all.

Usually if my game freeze, holding the power switch didnt work either, i have to switch off the power switch on the back of the console.

PLS help, did my ps3 broke or i messing up something. But i can still power on the ps3 though. Or is there anyway u can enter recovery mode without the hold power button ritual?

Ok. My ps3 crashed and whenever I turn it on it says something like: "The hardware has been corrupted and the system will restore." When I wait to 100% it automatically restarts, only to go to the same message and restore process. When I try to press and hold the power button I don't get the double beep I just get it turned off. OMG!!!! Thank you times a 1000, my xmb screen was for the most part totally unresponsive. Restore PS3 System fixed me right up. Though I lost all saved games and trophies, but I could care less, better than a using it as a doorstop. Thanks again.
