Hi, I'm a piano teacher and I use this book to teach my students. What I recommend is that you make the left hand sound more legato by connecting the notes smoothly and don't bounce the wrist too much. Righ hand sounded good. Keep up the good work! :)
Leant but its kinda one I didnt pay attention to...I realy like the tune and can play most of it. Jumped from book 1 - Book 2 - beethoven in less than 3 weeks!
If you ever need to ask a question about piano or something. You can ask me anything at anytime. Just send me a message here on youtube. Well keep up the good work. If you want a challenge, play the duet with somebody for this song.
Your playing is very nice, and encouraging to me... I am a beginner, and was trying to learn on my own with pieces downloaded online - mostly that were too difficult. A friend has now agreed to give me lessons (for free!) and has passed on this book... I am very excited to work through it, and when I see how much you have accomplished, I will practice more. going to check out your other videos now, jetkid!
I just took my final for my beginning piano class, and I will be happy to pass on my syllabus if you want and that can give you a great timeline on what to learn and how fast you can do it (at least the pace we did it in class). It took two 8 week courses to get through the book and we didn't complete every page/song.
my sister who is in highschool has been playing that and scarborough fair... they both remind me of the creepy slow music that is in horror movies... =] oh, nice job by the way...
i usually scarborough fair combined with this one as if they were one song. All i do is just turn the page in the book. Well used to-i don't have to anymore. Good job though-sounds nice.
Yup I liked Scarborough Fair. The first time I played it it sounded familiar, and I was like "Hmm oooh, it's that song..." Amazing Grace is cool too. Where are you at right now?
Oh, I finished that book a long time ago =) It was the required material for a beginning class I took the first semester of my Sophomore year in high school. Turns out it was a little too . . . slow-paced for me, though, so I dropped the class after I finished the book.
So where are you at now? I just just wondering how far you have gone... I have played for almost 4 months now, and I am in the light and blue song on book 2 soo...
yeah, I have learnt it!!!!

Try not bouncing your wrists to keep time. I'm just now learning this song in the same book, and it sounds great. I suck at it so far ^^;
