  • This show scared me when I was little, I couldn't grasp it.

  • OMG nostalgia

  • every single day when i was

    8-10

i saw it in everymorning before i went to school

i still remember this ,i saw it again few mounths ago

and i am happy that i did it

    it was my childhood :)

    oh..the nostallgy~

  • good job youve done! maybe you know the name of the song? pls answer! :)

  • WOW i miss seeing this show late at night

  • So many memories!

  • the EPIC tale, this was the first show i really got into, and followed what was going on

  • Clooney the motherfucking Scourge!

  • DOES ANYONE know what the name of the TV show was called, i swear it was 3D, it was around 1995-1999, it was fantasy, it had fairies, warriors and a queen, an evil overlord it was featured on channel 4 or 5, one of them, and AT THE END it had 2 penguins which sponsored it, i have no idea what it was called.

  • holy fucking fucking fucking deja vu

  • One of the best shows EVER!

  • i loved this show as a kid :D

  • RIP Brian Jacques...

  • Im pretty sure the people who put "dislike" thought it said "dis i like".

  • I loved the cartoons on PBS. I accually sometimes miss when we didn't have cable.

  • Man, I miss this show!

  • I use to say that crap at the end as a kid lmao

  • My childhood. <3 Wow, I hadn't heard the theme tune for 8 years...and I still remembered it completely.

  • @232bluewings I agree, never could get that unmistakable theme out of my head. Kids nowadays have no idea whatsoever what exactly they missed in the nineties, it almost sickens me what cartoons have been reduced to in the past decade; from completely valid art forms and means of expression to goldmines that sap the intelligence of young children while pulling maximum profit out of an expired idea. But there is hope; Ive found a show in the recent year that’s truly worthy of the title of cartoon.

  • @gamestreamer My kids (if I have any) will be watching this stuff. Guaranteed.

  • @232bluewings You sir, will make a good parent. But hopefully you won't have too, I've had a feeling this past year that tells me that new dawn of decent animation will come in the near future. About six months ago I stumbled upon a 2010 cartoon that gave me 3rd degree nostalgia burn. The likeable characters, amusing plots, and unbelievably unique premise held such promise and showed such effort that it reminded me of the days long past which I do hope return again.

  • @gamestreamer *madam :P

And I hope so too...I find children's films are rather good now, actually. Not Tintin though, absolutely murdered what I remembered of him, just from the trailer. So happy they released The Lion King in cinemas though! What was this cartoon by the way?

  • @232bluewings Ah, yes. Whenever one specifies a gender on the internet, its always the opposite. Anyways, the show I mentioned was (and get this) the 2010 reboot of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, you may have already heard of the show, its pretty famous around the internet because of the massive folowing it has recieved in the past year. I like it because it is true to form of all the qualities that I remember seeing in the great cartoons of the early nineties to early 2000s.

  • @gamestreamer Indeed so! It just works like that, I suppose! And yes, I've definitely heard of that- I even ponified myself (moment of self pity here now...)! But I don't think I can watch it on TV, I'm in the UK and don't have any cartoon channels etc. Will probably check it out soon, loving the characters, from what I've seen!

Gosh, I remember the original MLP. I still have the old annuals from when I was little.

  • @232bluewings I know that the show airs on treehouse in Canada (Where I live) but I dont bother trying to catch it on tv, the episode is typicaly uploaded to youtube within an hour of the actual episode so I just lie in wait on Equestria Daily and wait for the high quality youtube link to be posted. And yeah, I remember the older occurences of MLP, as a teen, the idea of technicolor ponies having tea parties didn't quite apeal to me but luckily the new show has much more gender neutral footing.

  • @gamestreamer Oh, thanks for thinking I'd make a good parent. :)

  • every time this show was on afterwards i would feel like playing ocarina of time after -.-

  • the music to this used to make me cry

  • I always thought this show was SOOOO boring -.-

  • best cartoon ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Okay, seriously, they need to put this show back on.

  • i remember this show being intense for me.

  • Before I knew what furries were.

  • @FlameHikariUchiha yes it will because crossbows are cool even thou shotguns are better

  • @GraberStone You also need torches to complete an angry mob.

  • really missed this

  • I remember once I it was chapter that scared me, it was a war and a mouse with a scar.

    smoeone can give the chapter?

  • @ilay140 it was a rat named cloony the scourge (i think i spelled it right) it was near the end i believe.. im not sure what chapter though.

  • Who the fuck dislikes this.. Did they have no childhood?!

  • One of the reasons i didnt do my homework as a child.

  • Cool armor 0:48

  • That rabbit was awsome!

  • this was one of my absolute favorite series! GREAT <3

  • This was a show! I read the books but never saw the show.

  • WOOWW i forgot about this show, this show was the reason why i use to see one of my first hamster as a warrior lol

  • god i loved the 90s

  • i wish they had the series on itunes lol i watched this as a kid and i miss it

  • I remember this show, I loved it! I had to sit through an animated series for Annie of Green Gables before this would come on, but man, was it worth it.

  • i wish there was more of the song

  • Whenever I hear that bit from Martin the Warrior, I ALWAYS get chills due to its awesomeness

  • I guess it's only here in SA where the books are very rare. I've visited four bookstores that are supplied with brand new books: only one had Redwall books that were not in library!

  • father abbot mortimer was my favorite of all time, why cant this world JUST PUT AWAY THEIR DIFFERENCES?

  • Which channel did this come on?

  • @uponit57 PBS stations in 2001.

  • i think this would be a great series on Disney Xd

  • @megadracosaurus Doesn´t matter where but hopefully they will rerun it!

  • When i was 4 i didnt know who Brian Jacques was.. but that i know who he is.. its sad to know the man who made my faveorite cartoon is gone is sad

    Rest In Peace Brian Jacques

  • I am starting to read the books because I loved watching all three seasons, Redwall, Mattimeo, and Martin the Warrior are amazing.

  • What books were adapted? I know Redwall and Mattimeo were, but there was one other.

  • @Sh4d0wKat Martin the Warrior was also adopted for TV.

  • @ClawHeart4258 Ah, so that's what it was. Thanks!

  • May I asked whether there is anyone who has more than 4 Redwall books?

  • @Benlouis1 I have 17 of the books published, still need to get the last few and read them, it's what Brian Jacques would have wanted.

  • Shit!!! I remember watching this a long time ago!!!!!! It was badass hahah!!!!

  • While you were watching Dextor's Faggetory, I was watching a bunch of cartoon mice getting skewered by spears and crossbows

  • kids today have no idea what they missed. 90's ruled man

  • @y6tre late 80's early 90's best periode ever

  • @y6tre i watched this when i was like 8 or somthing and loved it...trust me theres alot of good shows that i loved and dont show anymore and im 13 now i to think that the shows that play now a days are just crap :/

  • @y6tre Got that right pal ! I used to watch this fantastic show as a kid, and the stuff they show kids these days on CN and DisneyXD is just crap! Don't get me wrong I am open for new cartoons, but I also recognize shit when I see it.

  • Man I loved watching this show I completely forgot about it until I found out they were about the books which I found out about today! O.o

  • the intro was really beautiful, with all the tapestry. I would definately watch this again along with gummy bears and Babar. These cartoons were unique,

we dont have any cartoons nowadays just things like the Suite Life with zack and cody... the only cartoon/animation i lke now is Pocoyo. I have to keep watching old cartoons on youtube like totally spies...i dont think that comes on tv anymore.

  • I AM THAT IS!

  • oh my god i rememer this x)......good times

  • i used to watch this on POP when i was really little but now i can't find it anymore D:

  • *Dies of nostalgia overload*

  • I used to watch this on POP when i was a kid.

  • I don't know if I'm the only one that got chills down their spine because I used to watch this show a lot when I was younger on Teletoon

  • I used to watch this on POP sometimes when I was 11-12. lol.

  • i was really young when this aired on tv. lol i never understood it yet I watched it anyway.

  • I used to watch this all the time when I was younger. It was a great show.

  • Pointing out:

    1) Matthias began his story in "The Summer of The Late Rose". Martin's love was Late Rose.

    2) In the books, Martin always "helped" his chosen, and they always seemed to get their own loves

    3) Matthias succeeded in everything Martin did plus one more: He saved his love (in the series)

    4) Matthias looks very similiar to Martin-if Martin hadn't been a slave for so long-like Mattiemeo (cross between the two!)

    5) Brome might be Matthias' ancestor, since he came to the Abby alone.

  • It's sad to watch this now that Brian Jacques has passed away.

  • @NailoNight he may be gone.

    but his stories live on.

As long as this show and the books it comes from aren't forgotten, neither will he.

  • this was my favorite show

  • This is so epic! Absolutely love this music. There is no cartoon show that ever has or will compare to how purely incredible Redwall is, was and will be. However, for those of you who also followed Silverwing, it was a close match.

Brian Jacques: You sir, are a Hero.

  • Brian Jacques thank you for the books and cartoons that turned me from scared/shy child to the Matthias I wanted to be. It pains me to know you're no longer with us. Although I have never met you I love you.

"In our imaginations we can go anywhere. Travel with me to Redwall in Mossflower country."

  • Redwall was one of those shows where when you look back on it, it's kick ass.

    RIP Brian Jaques

  • This theme song is my favorite song I will hum it any time and any place XD. RIP Brian Jacques you will be missed :(

  • R.I.P Mr. Jaques...we'll miss you...and Martin and all of them. your legacy will live on...

  • I remeber watching this as a kid, uh what memeries it brings for me, ha I remeber that I would be in my room playing with my dolls or something, and when I heard the theme song I would be sitting on the couch before you could say redwall. And my friends and I used to play games at school when I got a little older, I was allways fast to call Matthias or Martin, one kid always used to be Badrang, oh what fun I had protending to sword fight. Thank you Matthiasofredwall for posting this :)

  • This was my childhood. R.I.P. Brian Jacques. You will be missed.

  • god i used to read these books! i mean like, i devoured them! all of them! good times!!!

  • Its so sad... Rest in peace, Bryan Jacques...

  • Listening to this in memory of Brian Jacques.

  • Rest in peace Brian Jacques.

  • R.I.P BRIAN JACQUES

  • Two people one youtube are rat-warriors.

  • Nostalgia tears!

  • The greatest TV show of my childhood, My first Heroic Fantasy Adventure and yet it still a show of great quality (compared to other child Shows). Some episode the villain we're goofy but most of the time it was kind of dark and Epic. for a Child show it was perfect : Scarry but funny :_)

Too bad I never was Season 3. I need to see it before I die, is there any DVD release of this somewhere ? I'll buy them all whatever the price...

  • This was the greatest tv show of our childhood, they don't make them like this anymore. This is the most epic all furry adventure, like the legends of King Arthur, The Lord of the Rings, and woodland creatures all mixed together. This was before cartoons cheaped out on story and animation quality.

  • THis waz amazing in my childhood. noe a tenn and still love it. makes me cry!!!good time good timz

  • This show is my childhood, I miss it :(

  • I am that is. My sword shall wield for me.

  • Best intro music ever.

  • @naz654 Definitely. Stuck with me for so long.

  • @naz654 fuckin a

the scrooge ( looooove his voice) #2 Lord Badrang The Tyrant #3 Slagar the Slaver

#4 Damper & Skinpaw #5 Stumptooth #6 Oilback ( his voice is cute) 7# Shadow

#8 tied between Hisk and Fleabane man i could go on forever... but the first 3 are the ones i love the most in the Tv series.. wait Hisk is cute too. crap i put him as #8!!! when he should be 4th!

  • i used to watch it every day in heberw but now i can't because there isnt ep in hebrew on the net/

but this is really a good show!

    I LOVED THAT SO MUCHHHHHH

  • "I am that is! My sword shall wield for me!" -Marton The Warrior

  • Omg man this show was the best, all the good shows got taken off the air.

  • Long Live Redwall. For Redwall.

  • Shit was cash.

  • best tv show in the world screw all the new boring reality tv shows this show was my life after school

  • this was my all time 2nd favorite show as a kid, sorry courage the cowardly dog was my favorite!

  • my favourite show when i was a kid

    it was just amazing

  • OMG I HAVENT SEEN THIS IN YEARS, I BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SINCE LAST YEAR, CHILDHOOD

  • ahhh... i guess there are just some things you'll never be able to get back...

  • no one really pays attention to the fact that theyre mice and animals that the proportions are often out of it like i wonder what the size of their castle would be if this were real

  • @whaizthah I like that of all the things about the accuracy of this program, you point out proportion.

  • this makes me wanna cry. i haven't seen this since i was in third grade!!!

  • 2 damn redwall haters! anyways i always liked Cluny i thought he was a good villian alongside Badrang, Tsarmina, Ferahgo the assassin, Slagar, and probably more

  • i watched this ALL THE TIME when i was a kid.

now i go and flip the tv on, and all that's on is some kind of cheesy dancing/singing diva group who wants to teach you about car safety half the show.

i have to go back and watch redwall again. i think it might be the reason i'm obsessed with medieval music/ castles/ etc.

  • i loved watching this show when i was young... and i did had my moments of sadness ^_^. but i got through well enough 1million stars out of 5 i will say

  • God damn, Cloony was an asshole.

  • I totally remember this as a kid! Can anyone tell me which episode was the one where the girl got kidnapped by the evil mouse/rat person? I remember it was my favorite.

  • I remember this show. It was really good. too bad it's not on anymore.

  • oh man i totally remember watching this as a kid but im pretty sure i have no idea what the heck its about :/

  • My favorite show of all time... I remember watching this as a kid and Cluny still remains my favorite villian to this day long live redwall

  • I have read all the books... and loved them.

Today I'm 20... and still I read the books :)

  • @TeroKinnunen same here

  • @TeroKinnunen im 19 and i still do :)
