  • And thats how its done!

  • wasnt that Tarkus?

  • Only Warhammer could make a 45 second video so badass.

  • @bornacoolagaa I meant it was good retard. Badass = cool

  • lol tarkus with a sunder hammer

  • now that was badass...

  • kaurava is town in finland

  • @666warpspider It is also legendary Hindu family.

    /r

  • It's...always been like that. You know, "all aliens against Mankind"? ""All-mighty Space Marines"? "Humanity's last hope"?

If there's any game, tabletop or computer based, with multiple races, it's a safe bet that there will be "propaganda"-as you put it-for the Humans.

  • yes i think he looks cooler as the Force Commander.

  • yet*

  • wtf. In the actual game the final warboss in the campaign is completely hard even on recruit difficulty. Dont get me wrong i love this video i just think that it kinda one sided.

  • tarkus cant equip thunder hammers or master crafted power armer

  • Relic don't always give the Space Marines a victory. On Lorn V (Winter Assault), the Eldar were the real victors. And the Blood Ravens' campaign in Kaurava (Soulstorm) was a total disaster.

Meanwhile, Warboss Gorgutz 'Ead 'Unter always seems to escape his defeats to launch another Waaagh!!! on a different planet, without ever being brought to justice.

Still, it would be nice if for once it were the Tau who won.

  • You'll have to explain something to me. In the case of Soulstorm it's assumed the same race you play as won in Dark Crusade, but from DoW 2 we can get a good idea of the "true" endings.

I'm sure you already know all this, but while there are references to the Space Marines winning the Dark Crusade, and the only realistic way anything works is that the Eldar won in Winter Assault, I don't recall there's anything to suggest the Space Marines lost at Kaurava...

  • There actually is. There's an inter-mission cutscene in DoW 2 where (I forget how exactly, I think it might have been in reference to Indrick Boreale's fate) the subject of Kaurava gets brought up in conversation. Sgt. Cyrus mentions that 'Kaurava was a huge mistake' and that he won't speak any further on the matter.

  • Hmmm, I remember that scene...but are you SURE he said "Kaurava"? Even if he did, in the Space Marine campaign of Soulstorm, the Space Marines were constantly regretful that they had to fight against the Imperial Guard AND the Sisters of Battle. Could it not be a reference to that?

  • Good point actually, though I doubt it because if I remember correctly there's also a piece of wargear that was supposed to have been presented to Indrick Boreale upon his success in Kaurava; Boreale ultimately perished instead.

And yes, Cyrus definitely said 'Kaurava'.

  • Ah well, thanks for the information. ^^

  • hey sangrenegra, he was supposed to get an iron halo if he won

  • No he said that Boreale and many others died (most of 6th thru tenth company) in the cutscene so thats why he said it was a mistake.

  • the space marines did lose at Kaurava, cyrus mentioned that it was a disaster in dawn of war 2

  • OMG, u r right, kaurava campaign was, the park where Souldstorm took place, right?

    who won then?

  • maybe, the eldar

  • @troyluna555 Maybe, or the Imperial Guard. We may never know, as the outcome does is similar.

However, its either Eldar or IG as Kaurava is referred as recruiting world IIRC

  • good lord! I'd have to assume he's not getting up after that kind of a beating...

  • thanks for clearing that up for us, captain obvious.

  • Woah I love that ' Alien Sound ' in the background... The good old silence in the background that is.

  • woah! who's that man? is that Gabriel Angelos?!

  • The game is a complete dissapintment in terms if the main page and game play it is not realted to the last versions of the game you must make an online acount that takes an extremelly long time, and it is only comperative with online game play.

    What a dissapointment!!!

  • ... What? Dawn of War 2? That's not true. There's a campaign as well. And it is a VERY fun one! Admittedly, you DO need to make an account with Live, but it doesn't take long at all. As for 'Not being related', it takes place in the same universe, speaking of lore. That's certainly a relation.

  • i think thats tarkus

  • love the MATRIX part !!!

is it this game out already around Asia ??

  • Worth mentioning that this actually happens if your Force Commander (In Multiplayer anyway) kills a Warboss using that hammer, aside from the final swing not being in slowmotion of course!

  • Now that the game is out and I've seen the characters, that guy looked a bit like Tarkus.

  • kick ass...........wow

  • Considers that Space marines are the favorite army on table top too (40% i think) so it's not so ridiculous.

  • relic has always favoured sm over other races, and nerfed accordingly.

  • wait so sturn has been promoted to force cammander of the space marine O_O

  • Nope, would be an heresy to the fluff ^^

  • no shit !! this games gone be awesome

  • doesnt look like angelos, i hope it is, just doesnt look like him, looks like sturrn from winter assualt lmao

  • Force Commander Sturnn?

  • total ownage lol

  • Do want, Force Commander Angelos FTW

  • Gabreal angelos?

  • WTF ork warboss would have ownd him in game

  • No. Space marines own orks

  • go Force commander and is he Angelos

  • Overkill haha
