I click the video screen to pause. Out of habit i did that on this video at least 3 times and was taken to a subscribe page because of your giant annotation and had to go back and restart the video. There is no point arguing about these games! People will play SW:TOR, and enjoy it immensely, and continue playing it. It looks to be well made. WoW IS well made, I know, I played it for 3 years, only quitting very recently. I will play TOR instead, but thats only because im bored of WoW and dont want to sub to two games. I am sure GW2 will be good as well, GW1 wasnt exactly a failure. You dont need to justify your choice! Enjoy what YOU want to, don't force others to.
@0826Alex Yes knowing the previous lore of the games before is only a bonus whether playing them or not the experience will be amazing and polished for anyone. The story of SWTOR will be independent and self sustained where knowing some previous lore will defiantly give some cool Easter eggs overall it will be entertaining and easy to follow throughout.

As for GW2 it's gonna be no different then GW1 just some new abilities and yes I have a GW account just haven't played it in a long time cause I'm not interested. WOW on the other hand is lame as well, just a bunch of running around in dungeons to get lvl's and sitting in town emoting and I've played WOW as well just didn't stay hooked for long. @WhatHappendToMyPants Probably nothing will destroy WoW. Even if it lost half its subscribers it would still be about 6 million strong. I'm not really a WoW fan but I doubt the franchise is going to be brought to its knees by the release of any new game, no matter how good. It's to popular.

@mdossantos047 They said a long time ago it was going to be "based" a lot on Kotor but now its more based on WOW an SWG for fighting. The TT might be Kotor though. Hope so.
@skybgd If you actually READ any of the Star Wars lore in say um... BOOKS, you would know that in their armor and vibroblades etc, there is something called a Cortosis Weave. Kind of like carbon-fiber on crack, it has the ability to repel lightsabre blades and blaster bolt. Hence the reason a 'normal soldier' is actually given half a chance against a jedi or a sith
@Broadwayftw right... and the reason most jedi/sith refuse to wear it as heavy as an average soldier is that in some lore it gets "in the way" of the force... it really might be that its just heavy and slows down movement in most cases.
For thoses people who dont know, The game is scheduled to be released at the latest of Quarter 3. meaning this September. It may change but that ahs been the plan for a while.

I will not play another sw game if they do not realize that they have to make lightsaber cut through meat like fire axe through butter and when a stormtrooper swings at jedi with a vibroblade ends up holding only the grip in his hands.. If the excuse is "Than it would be too easy" my sugestion is "Just add more stormtroopers" geez, it's not suposed to be difficult to kill a "normal" soldier, or some well armed bounty hunter, it's about fighting jedi vs sith anyway...

There are no companions that can customize whatever weapon u want and do stuff for you even when you are OFFLINE.

good license, good developer... BUT... crap engine, crap graphics, crap and boring gameplay. so overall it looks like shit, the story is epic but a good lincense isnt all. im dissapointed :/

@Wotan0din It's an MMORPG...the graphics are like that so that a LOT of people can play it, not just top-of-the-line PC owners. And gameplay is the same as KOTOR...which is awesome

@skybgd If you actually READ any of the Star Wars lore in say um... BOOKS, you would know that in their armor and vibroblades etc, there is something called a Cortosis Weave. Kind of like carbon-fiber on crack, it has the ability to repel lightsabre blades and blaster bolt. Hence the reason a 'normal soldier' is actually given half a chance against a jedi or a sith

@Broadwayftw right... and the reason most jedi/sith refuse to wear it as heavy as an average soldier is that in some lore it gets "in the way" of the force... it really might be that its just heavy and slows down movement in most cases.

I will not play another sw game if they do not realize that they have to make lightsaber cut through meat like fire axe through butter and when a stormtrooper swings at jedi with a vibroblade ends up holding only the grip in his hands.. If the excuse is "Than it would be too easy" my sugestion is "Just add more stormtroopers" geez, it's not suposed to be difficult to kill a "normal" soldier, or some well armed bounty hunter, it's about fighting jedi vs sith anyway...

@savant2k Note this: the year 2009, the game has been improved since 2009, this was when it was in early development, if you look at the 2011 footage you will get a better experience, youtube the following "Star Wars the old republic pax east 2011" (remove ""), it shows a flash point (dungeon) and it looks really good

If i was a Star Wars fan i'd be so disappointed with this. So many aspects are below-par. It already looks aged.
It looks like a cat has been sick on a Lego landscape whilst playing dramatic instrumental music from a tin can.
Guild Wars 2 is going to be the future of MMORPG, and if you don't give it a try it really is your loss.
