  • what ai do u have?

  • is it FSX or FS2004?

  • @euromania100 FS2004

  • I don't understand why you don't upload this panel and let us be a part of your beautiful work.

Espacially the DC10 panel is still one which don't exists in the Simworld in a good condition.

The CLS DC10 panel isn't really the best, and i think you have the same opinion, otherwise you wouldn't create such a panel.

I don't understand you, and i think i'm note the only one!!!!

    It's really sad!!

  • nice video you told me ones you use paint shop and notpad .....what do you use notpad for

  • @AIRBUS57 Writing code for the gauges

  • Hey Ed, I enjoy watching your videos. I would like to modify a cockpit; however, I don't know how or what program to use to view the xml guages in guage folder. Could you please tell me what you use or how your seeing the guages to modiy. Thanks.

  • bro, u shld upload this panel, it is bloody amazing, i can't find such a panel in fs. Pls let us who so envy this panel to fly it...thk. Normally those panel i downloaded with photorealistic panel it all suck, most of the button and knob can't even click. Your is by far the best....pls upload it and let us have it...thk

  • PLEASE CAN U PLEASE UPLOAD THIS PANEL, COMEON WHATS UR PROBLEM!!

    ITS AWESOME PANEL

  • man .. what a lovely video .. greetings from Egypt

where can i find the aircraft plz.

    again, lovely video

    cheers

  • haha, noobs!!! fs9 rockzzz! this is fs9

  • =D FSX

  • If that panel was made 100% by you, then cheers mate! It is by far the best DC-10 panel/VC I have ever seen.

  • LOL! That was an ending I did not expect.

  • thank u for this very good filme and for all your filmes i larin from u cpt

  • Awesome Dude!!!

  • compressed spines indeed

  • ha ha, I always hear that Left is clear, RIght is clear, all clear to start engines...

  • Man,your panels are fantastic!!!So real.

If you decide to share them, please tell me where can i download.

    Again,full respect to your work:)

  • I wish I had ur panels.

  • Good! I Love it & i love the DC-10/MD-11 :-)

  • Hello, Im from argentina I saw other videos incluide this, your panel are truly amazing texture, gauges all man, where I find this models?

  • The model is by CLS (Commercial Level Simulations)

The panel is custom made by myself and not available.

  • i think it is x-plane i mean look at the graphics no where near flight simulator

  • You are quite wrong. It is FS2004.

  • Too bad you don't upload your panel, this is payware quality.

  • where did u get this dc-10 ?

  • can you tell me where you get your panels?

  • I made this panel myself.... completely from scratch apart from Lee Hetherington's TCAS

  • dam thats very impressive any plans to release them as payware:P. no but really i would buy them

  • First, loved the video! I always look forward to all of your vids! Thanks for posting this one! :) Second, I have a quick question: Have you decided to release the panel as freeware, shareware, payware or are you not releasing it at all? It is a fantastic panel & I'd love to try it out if you've released it.

  • I have not decided whether or not to release the panel.

  • If you ever do, please let us know! It's a marvelous panel that would make the experience that much more realistic. Thanks for your prompt reply.

  • cool vid

  • lol

  • such a beautiful piece of engineering. i got the DC10 in my fsx but i want the biman textures on it. nice flying m8

  • great!!! What sim is it???

  • FS9

  • thx

  • What game is this?

  • Impressive stuff !!!

  • 5:55 looks real! Well almost the whole video is real.

  • I mean looks real.

  • again goes to show how terrible fs2004's AI is. I got FSX and will never switch back, although i started my initial real-life flight training with fs2004.

  • LOL...Neither FS9 or FSX was made to handle the amount of AI we thrown at it. FS2004's AI is superb IMHO, AI smooth will take care of any arrival problems.

You enjoy your FSX and leave us to love our FS9....

  • how long did the flight take as u played it?

  • nice what game is it

  • fs 2004

  • You can imrove realism by using my sounds for the altitude callouts.

    Look at avsim under:

GPWS for Classic airliner Version 2.0

I loaded it up on 24.10.2008.

It is the only version that you can find in the internet for FS as I know.

Have fun, and let me know if you like them.

  • plz help me i bought this payware and i didnt get the Virtual Cockpit

  • Brilliant! How do you get those camera angles? pls

  • FS Recorder

  • Hey where did you get the DC-10 please. Thanks great video.

  • Was wondering if you where going to try out UK2000's Heathrow? I get better frame rates with it over Aerosofts version and there is a video competition for heathrow you might be interested in.

  • I will when it gets AES'ed. I am in no hurry.

  • "just jumped in ahead of us", lol, anyway very nice video

  • But that's not the VC on the video!

  • Your vids are always excellent .... I am still struggling to get FSX running and looking right ... I do enjoy the flight dynamics tho ..

  • Good luck with FSX, my copy sits next to FS2000 gathering dust. FS9 all the way for me.

  • If you have trouble with AI try AISmooth, it gives AI holding patterns to keep them from colliding.

  • Hello Patrick, yes I did not use it on this occasion

  • great as usual ;)

  • Hey Ed,

Great vids I have to say.

If you have trouble with another aircrafts at the approach within default FS AI traffic you can search for a traffic toolbox SDK from Microsoft which allows you to manipulate AI traffic once the simulation is started.

  • Ed,

man, you should be a payware developer ;)

You could start with a decent 777 incl. FMC, that's still missing for FS (please don't mention PSS and Wilco...)

    5 stars

  • POSKY merged with the PSS? That is a great combo.

  • Wow 5*

  • Very nice. What software do u use to create your panels???

  • Paintshop Pro, Photoshop and Notepad.

  • two nuts @ LHR,hehehe.....

  • Hehehe that end was quite funny :)

    (:

  • Very nicley done Ed, one of my new favorites from your collection of videos! Awesome capturing of the whole flight.

New DC-10 Panel? I must say it is spot on, I can not spot any differences with it and a real DC-10/KC-10. Just recently I was up in the KC-10A got some old pictures of close up stuff but I sure you're set, non-the-less reminded me of the refueling mission I was given clearence to be on almost exact match except they have the new ND, Surface Indicator, and FMC.

  • OMG, ed, I fannaly noticed that your view is a a raw camera view on your PC, I always thaought your videos had a tool that makes it look like head movements! turns out its just your camera...

  • That is incorrect. I use Fraps for video capture.

All movement is care of FS Recorder and NewBlueFX.

  • ohhh, ok sorry, it sorta looked like a hand recorded clip in some parts...

  • 2 thumbs up

  • 3 thumbs up!!! :P

  • LOL!

  • Beautiful sunset on the approach!! And yet again a wonderful video with a wonderful bird.

    Best Regards

    ~Chris

  • Hi

Great video, interesting ending, lol, :)

Where did you get those runway lights from ?

    Thanks

    Matthew

  • Dubai is by Fly Tampa, Heathrow is by Simwings.

  • Nice video! did you make the DC-10 from scratch? or what are you using orginaly to edit?

  • The panel is scratch....the model is by CLS.

  • Awesome as always Ed!

  • Another great video ed!

    beautiful sunset at the landing!

LOL poor passangers in the AI plane!

Keep up the good work! :D

  • On a side note, Ed, your video work is my main motivation for continuing on with FS9 and not making the complete jump to FSX. FS9 continues to have a great amount going for it, and your videos prove that.

Thanks for your time and work!

  • Great video as usual, Ed!

Btw, this is Arklight1 from Avsim. :)

  • gr8 vid when ur next one coming?

  • Sheesh!. I have just made this video...it took long enough!. First I had to make a panel and then a paint.

Please do not ask me when my next video is coming... I find it very irritating.

  • Very very nice job!

  • man, this is to make a really good fs-vid! but... but... haha. uuhm. shouldn´t you´ve gone arround :P hehe XD but fantastic vid though ;D

  • Anyone else agrees apart from this amazing video, that the end was absolutly fun to watch? :D The AI, the Go-Around, the # 1,2,3 etc as Ed explained. LOL

Fantastic Ed, great to see you back here.. ^^

    5*

  • Haha, I see. So funny.

  • Great to see you posting again, Ed!

  • You guys are all too kind!. I really appreciate your comments.

I do enjoy making vids of my flights, it does take a lot of time....but I spent a lot of time preparing my flights anyway.

  • In the end I noticed that a plane landed a few meeters infront of you.. IS that normal lol? IF that ever happend irl I would be scared as h...

  • No that is not normal. I knew I was too close to the AI aircraft in front of me and FS ATC told me quite rightly to go-around....it is just that I ignored the request as I thought it was interesting to see the aircraft landing in front of me. Especially as it was above the glideslope...I was wondering if it would make it, we it did but landing at 3000ft per sec! LOL

  • Awesome, good to see your back again.. Your so awesome! 5 of 5

  • Hi edetroit.you should join vatsim its so cool then you can talk to controllers.try it you will like it then make a video with vatsim.

    kind regards: Alex

  • Beautiful vid man. Like you use to make :D

Two jets landing it was so funny. Really nice 5*

  • great vid also good landing but the ai's was way better yours. hahah

  • A DC-10 doing an RNAV departure :S And even more so hand building the procedure?

  • Just type in the coords into your ins and use the flight director (hand flown) or autopilot (as I did) and Bob's your auntie.

  • That would not work in the real world ;) But hey.... its flight sim :)

  • Why not?

  • RNAV procedures have to be retrieved from a database by name, not hand built. Just because the LAT/LON points are there doesn't mean an INS can do it. The Departure was a B-RNAV (RNP5) procedure but even P-RNAV(RNP1) procedures built by ICAO designers have LAT/LON along the points since I would guess a lot of these points can be found on traditional SIDs/STARs, that is why the LAT/LON is included.

  • I hear what you are saying and I am not a real world pilot. But the RANBI 2B is a very simple departure.

  • But RNAV none the less. I think you did this as well in another video out of ATL with the L1011 IIRC.

Look, no worries, amazing videos that are a joy to watch all the same :)

  • Thankyou for your comments...I am always keen to know the correct procedures.

  • This put me in a good mood, i missed your videos :) The sky as your flying into london was lovely! Great flight and i like the new panel! Looking forward to more videos.

  • Thankyou, I was quite surprised with my framerate at LHR as I use an AES'd EGLL by Aerosoft and 100% AI.....plus Fraps!

  • why there's not 6* ???????

  • Thank you!

  • Nice Ed, Is this your Edit of the CLS DC10?

  • Not at all, this is my completely custom panel...nothing in common with the CLS panel at all.

  • lol love your laugh at the end!

  • excellent vid as always!P.S. your ATC rocks!!!

  • Love it! :D Loved that traffic right at the end when you was on final. :)

    Regards,

    Josh!

  • Hate to be on that Iberia jet :D

awesome video as perusual Ed. Keep it up

  • brilliant vid once again

  • Very realistic! Too bad for that annoying Iberia.

Just wondering, what was the reason for a flap 15 take off? Is that standard in a DC-10.

    Alex

  • Flap 15 is normal...besides it is the only setting I have written t.o Vspeeds code for so far. (for the speed bugs)

  • DC-10's would have Dial a Flap (ie any degree or half degree selectable from Flaps 1 up to Flaps 28 for takeoff... 15 would be one of the standards, alternitavley some airlines used weight/balance to find the most efficient flap for takeoff - ie flap 18, flap 7.5, flap 11, ;) )

Flaps 50 on landing wasn't unheard of either. Depends on weight. Incidently 767's will fly flap 15 when heavy, and 747's on Flap 20. Flap 5 is a bit of a shorthaul thing. 737s up to 767s use 5 for shorthaul.

  • Awesome as Always

  • That panel looks sexier and sexier each time i see it Ed :).

  • lol nice
