  • Fucking Adam Ant

  • Not much of a voice really, so Adam relied on his androgynous look and youthful energy to pull in the crowds. It worked for a time.

  • @stanibol He sings much better than todays so called 'singers'

  • Awesome !!!! Yup!

  • Fabulous! Thanks for posting. "Ant Music is the banner"! We love it!

Your descendants of wild nobility, the New Aristocrats

  • This song influenced horrible histories dick Turpin song

  • Dieser song ist so geil, der lässt beerinnerungen wach werden, hab das als ich noch ein kleines mädel war nur gehört und hab für Adam geschärmt XDXDXD

I love This song, this is the 80´s^^

  • Adam and the Ants had some great albums

  • FUCKING GENIUS!

  • I love seeing something on here from a LIVE performance. He never came to the states back when I was falling in love with him. Ahhh...the wonder years. Thanks for sharing it!!

  • We need more like this man again. Viva la costumed rock and roll with panache!

  • I spoke to him on the phone one christmas when he was dating my friend nick curtis's step sister jamie lee. he is a cool guy. kings of the wild frontier was the first CD I owned

  • I saw him on the Strip Tour with Romantics! Was AMAZING, Saw him again in college for wonderland!!!!!!!!

  • only a few weeks until i'll be stood in line, waiting to see this for myself. too exited...

  • Totally connected with antmusic when I was 12 and just gained momentum...try being Mr. Jock and wearing Adam and the Ants swag from middle school thru highschool...not very smooth sailing but will do it all over again..viva la Antz!!

  • they are a good live band. Loved my teen years back in the 80's!

  • I really wish I could have been born into this era to see these live. Unfortunately, I'm 16.

  • @ThatGuyThatLikesMuse I've just turned 14 and my family introduced me to his music. If you live in England he's got a tour across the next few months - ticketmaster's good for them, got mine £35 each :) You'll have to go with an over 18 on some dates though. Hope you're able to see him!

  • Someone couldn't sing live could he!

  • @slaxxxer Of course he can sing live, just listen to it..

  • I cannot tell you how much I love this genius human-being.

  • Oh Yeah BIG SMOOCH to Mr Ant

    LONDONAHS RULE UNITED !!!!!!!!

  • @juju8998 You what ? laughable. totally laughable.

  • adams so fucking charming! wut a babe!!!

  • real talent..pure charisma

  • such beauty...such talent......OMFG Adam we love you and your music

  • This band was unique in a unique time. The two drum set up and the clothes...there was nothing like this in the early 80's.

  • STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND AND DELIVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFEEEEEEE TRY AND USEEEEEEE A MIRROR NO BULLET OR A KNIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  • whats the use of robbery when nothing worth taking?

  • I am consistently amazed by how obsessed I am with adam ant. I am physically incapable of growing tired of this. I observe it like a phenomenon.

  • @ItsTheWooo Yeah, I know, but the Prince Charming image wasn't what a lot of Ant Fans really wanted. Album was patchy with but with brilliant stuff to fill a mini album. Take S.E.X. and Five Guns West for example, most probably recorded wearing shirts and denims...

  • @ItsTheWooo --Yes, i have been obsessed with him for 30 years(eeek!).I've never grown tired of him either. And not all Adam Ant fans had a problem with the Prince Charming phase of his career. I paid to see him in concert and bought his music all thru his career. He is one of a kind. And drop dead sexy, but that's another subject.

  • Stand like and deliver like Adam.

  • that was our speed song when we used to do it from my adam ant picture mirror...

  • adam always delivers his own style of music that noone else has been able to replicate because he is a genuis.much love adam that is why you are an icon!

  • saw them in cologne about a century ago

    brings back very fond memories....:D

  • ... fucking Johnny Depps Pirates ... Adam are the real Pirate!

  • Fuck sony, they're taking off all the good songs

  • I invented a sandwich called the Dandy Highway man after this song. They kind of brutalized the track on this live version.

  • The first band that I liked as a lad :) Great vid!!

  • I love you Adam Ant!!! :D I have this concert on dvd, love it. :)

  • He's got an interesting voice.

  • They transcended punk (Dirk Wears White Socks) and thankfully passed through disco briefly and muddled through glam rock. This was the band that navigated 1978-1985 with much commercial success. Oh to have been at this concert. I saw billy idol, pink floyd etc etc. Adam and the ants was on the same level, never had a chance to go live to hear them. My loss. Ant music.

  • never saw them live either but never mattered.dirk is one of the best albums ever crafted.a true classic.ant music for sex people.still listen to it.day i met god is still outrageous, catholic day is fresh as yesterday.

  • My parents freaked when they saw the Prince Charming album cover.

Signature on the fan club letter was printed on...bummer.

  • Oh dear, past their best!

    Gimme Zerox anyday.

  • this PUNK is OK!

  • im the dandy highwayman that youre too scared to mention, love their lyrics...very clever.

  • lay of the booze/drugs

    or get a hearing test

  • it's good to see there are still people out there who value this man, I first met him when I was 16 .... and yes I still have the shirt he signed, ah the shit I got in high school in a rural environment liking this music, all worth it since they are all working at junkyards and 7-11's LOL

  • @SxDxTrace I was 22 - A friend of mine stole the shirt - along with a signed 1st edition of The Shining signed by Steven King....with friends like that.....

  • me 2 mate but fuck it,pure class

  • I just wanted to let you know that there is still some young love out there for Adam haha. Me being a great example mainly because Im 16 now and own almost every song he has ever released from as well as some of his movies.

The man is a true artist and I'm tickled pink that there are soooo many fANTastic youtube vids and people out there even today still loving that Antmusic

    :D

  • @Chicky1601 Same same ... I'm 19 and I love this stuff lol. My mum was a big fan back in the day, so I've been brought up with it :)

  • @Chicky1601--- 'm so glad you appreciate Adam. But the Young Love amoung his fans, are the ones of us that have been loving him since we were 16-19 years old. Some 30,25,20 years and going strong.he is my all time favorite artist of all time. And I'm talking 30 plus years now.

  • @SxDxTrace i had the same problem with duran duran and depeche mode lol. and i'm a dude lol

  • Da diddly qua qua. ha ha Love it.

  • That's a joke right !!!!!!

  • @hangoverlad must be

    ha ha ha ha ha

  • me too

  • One of the greatest,Thee king of the wild frontier.Loved everything AATA did and a lot of his solo stuff. He's gotten a lot of mixed press over personal probs which is just crap,he is a true artist,he may have his demons but man he turned pop upside down back then

  • Happy 55th Birthday to the master of Ant music.

  • Sorry, I dont see Johnny Depp borrowing from Adam ant. Adam was like this unique-ist New Romantic on his own style invention - Depp was just borrowing from the dandy things and a bit of Keef but Sparrow was just a thing Disney developed. Adam was a bit more real even though he was a rock star. So... please...lets stop that Depp talk over and over in each of these Adam Ant vids.

  • I WAS MISS ADAM ANT:) X

  • Comment removed

  • YOu think Johnny Depp borrowed a bit of Adam for his Jack Sparrow?

  • Nossa ouvi essa MUSICA NO Burnout Paradise para PS3 a mais louquinha que ouvi do jogo

  • I love you so !

  • STAND AND DELIVAH !!!!!!

  • Is there anyone else that noticed that he forgot some of his own lyrics in this video? LOL!

  • Um, if you watch masters like Freddy Murury live in concert, you will see that he makes maistakes too. That includes Bono and just about every other performer. stop being so critical...

  • I wasn't criticizing, I was just merely pointing something out. I can't tell you how many concerts I've gone to where the singer forgot the lyrics to their own songs lol. Although, most of the time the audience was singing along, so it wasn't all that noticeable.

  • no? pls tell...

  • The great thing about seeing artists "forget" something, is theFACT at least you Know they are singing LIVE. Something that is becoming rare nowdays!

  • i once saw a concert where the singer started mumbling and asked if she could start again! the crowd was laughing but started to cheer when the band started up again^-^

  • I feel your pain xTurnItUpx. same story here. I missed the greatest era EVER!!!!!!! -cries-

  • me too :(

  • what's even worse is,

im 16 and i LOVE adam ant,

and i don't even have the excuse my parents raised me on him, as i was a bowie//led zep child :)

still, they remain one of my favourite bands to this day :)

  • HAHAHAH same apart from im 14!

i also love bowie and boy george :D

  • Amen. I'm also 14. Adam Ant is a demi-god.

  • hahah well im 15 tomorrow :D but ye i agreee, he's more awesomer than life tbh

  • da-diddley-qua-qua

    da-diddley-qua-qua

    da-diddley-qua-qua

    da-diddley-qua-qua

    Stand and delivaaah - EHHH!

  • I Love the expression on his face after he yells "stand and deliver!" at the beginning. He looks like he's going to explode with how happy he is. Just look.

  • I feel like I am 11 again. Too too great. Reminds me of seeinghim live. It was this footage footage form Japan( used to have the VHS that got me to the concert. They used to play Plastic Surgery and Car Trouble ont his station on Long Island ,NY called WLIR...I loved Adam and Devo...then I went to Tower Records ( 4th St and Broadway in manhattan) with my mother and saw the ANTs in Japan video..bought it and the rest is history. ANT MUSIC FOREVER!!

  • I wish I was a teen in the 80's =[

Sadly i'm only 15 and no one I know has heard of Adam and the Ants... Except my mum Lol.

But they are my favourite band no matter what!

  • I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 17 and not a single one of my classmates has heard of Adam and the Ants. It's a real bummer.

Ah, it's their loss. They just don't know what they're missing.

  • 14 and in the same boat as you two. I grew up on this (parents played 80's stuff all the time) so it's no wonder I love it. None of my friends have heard of ANY of the 80's bands I love.

What a sad age this is.

  • Stand and Deliver, Mr Adam sir..;-)..xxxx

  • Throw your safety overboard and join our insectnation.

  • i was in the 80s i,m 40 on saturday crazy us 80s teenagers 40 or getting there the punks the music we did not know it would end like this noone told me of the bordom i want to run back

  • thats what i think thanks all the time i have adam to watch and listen to i will always feel like i did back then

  • Enjoy the music but don't look back, enjoy today and look ahead!

  • good one but i cant help thinking as i look forward as you must the things that pass seem more exciting even teenagers look bored now but yes the future is what you make it so lets hope i will travel and drink lots of wine in time it will be a memorie

  • Cool!! I'm 45 and miss those days.. The 80's were a great time to be young and wild!!

  • Amen to that!!
