I am a friend og this person he was very kind and let me use his channel as I do not have one and dont know if I want one some wierd flks on Youtube of course that is not you but I want to know if you can make this the best way with no alcohol I imagine you said in the video but this computer has no speakers tus no sound
ive been looking up recipes for vegan egg nog. they thicken theirs by adding an avocado. apparently it's tastey if you're looking for a way to make your egg nog thicker without using as many eggs.
@erochow - I agree :) We're making artisan bread in 5 and chipotle oil for xmas presents :) We're not cheap, we're creative! My pups Gumbo & Creole say Hi!
you never mentioned what alcohol you used! i think i read a recipe on the back of a store-bought carton that included brandy? maybe i'm making that up.
I've been despising the Christmas spirit due to the retail monsters that I work for... But I have to say that I am feeling rather jolly :) Merry Christmas guys and thanks for the new video :)
We used 1/2 reg milk, 1/2 evaporated milk, 1 egg, dash of vanilla, whip it up in the blender and top with nutmeg & cinnamon per serving ... No separating the egg ... I don't remember adding any sugar either
Run your sugar through the food processor....*poof*......powdered sugar! lol Also, smacking two eggs together yields the same results as the countertop but without any mess as only one shell ever breaks at a time, and you can put the other one back in the carton. :) Love your videos, man! Love it when the labs bring you the ball, drop it, and look at you like, "Hey stupid! There it is RIGHT THERE!" I got a black lab rescue because of y'all this year. The only one in MS that's scared of water!
Another "egg"cellent delicious video. Love the cordless drill/driver wiskey thingey, that's really inventive and using your "nogg"in !! Keep the info and updates growiing our way :-{}
@cyenobite Priscilla is our neighbor who has a small farm, she is in the " how to tap maple trees' video and can be heard on several of our GardenFork Radio podcasts.
I always cook mine. I mix milk, sugar and eggs, and heat on med and wisk constantly until it reaches 165 degrees. I take it off the heat and add nutmeg and vanilla. I mix a little sugar with heavy cream and beat until soft peaks then mix that into the rest of the mixture. then chill. It cooks the eggs and thickens it.

Noooo! The dreaded fork-wisk made an appearance! Hahaha. j/k
Also, if you ever REALLY need powdered sugar, you can always put some granulated sugar in the processor and run it for a while.

@sooth15 good tip, thanks for that.

Whip those egg yokes stiff, that may create a thicker consistency!

Hey, you can make powdered sugar by simply putting granulated sugar in a blender. I've done it in by Vita-Mix blender. Oh, and I love nog, too!
