Do the same thing with the video camera and you will find out how hard it is to keep the camera stable. The further the objet the harder it is. Try it it a tripod then without a tripod. To pull something miles out you got to have professional equipment and alot of experience with it.
I saw this aircraft the same day this video was filmed. It was in Plano, Texas. I watched it for about 30 minutes and lost sight of it when it flew into the clouds.
