@LiamMawford It may sound a bit like that, but if you listen to them synced up, it doesn't work. This version is all over the place in terms of tempo. The record version has consistent rhythm due to the percussion tracks, this one doesn't.

Yes, you missed an experience there, but she is timeless, you know. She'll go on long after we're all dead and gone don't you think? She hung out at the Brady Theatre day of the show so people could come visit with her before. She may do that still, don't know. She said its cuz her hands hurt a lot after a show so she wanted to hang w/fans b4 show. Incredible day! Does she do that still? I treasure that day so much, I wouldn't trade it for the world! It's part of the recording process. She recorded the piano part first and then did the vocal on top of the piano track. It's done that way to get the cleanest tracks possible.

Actually, it can be a number of things. If this is the main recording session then this video is obviously depicting the recording of the vocal track it's self .

On the other hand, if it's post production, this could be overdubbing or multi tracking a duplicate vocal for a thicker layered sound or an alternate B-roll take for adding effectcs to in Pro Tools.

This is a recording session for 4 Meter Sessions, a program in the Netherlands. They broadcast the audio on the radio and telecast these videos. This isn't a recording session for Boys for Pele. If you watch 'horses' from this same taping, it says Jan 25, 1996 at the beginning, which is two days after the release of the album.

In most cases, Tori records it all at once- whatever keyboard she's playing plus voice. Since 1997, she's also tracked live with her band, instead of layering parts.

The reason Tori isn't playing the piano except for the bridge is that she didn't have a harpsichord with her to play as she does on the album, so instead she just beat out the rhythms with her hands and played the piano only at the bridge. This was before she came up with the piano- only arrangement of Caught a Lite Sneeze that she's been playing live since 1998.
