Thanks again for replying. I checked Google maps and The Institute did not seem like what I saw. But the view was very much from directly above which definitly did not look like an Air traffic Control Tower. Maybe it does from the side. But anyway-I looked through hundreds of photos of Bristol as well as videos but nothing was clearly what I saw. I have decided it is no longer of importance to me so I am giving up my search as I was spending too much time looking. Thanks

@MikeGreenwood51 I do believe you are talking about the chimney stack at St.Michaels Hospital on St. Michaels Hill, it can be seen clearly on Googlemaps from plan view. or if you just google 'st.michaels hospital chimney' then go to images there are lots of pictures there.

Hi-Nice video. But it did not answere my question. So to anyone who knows Bristol well I would like to ask you if you can tell me what the building is which looks like an aircraft control tower. It is centralish in Bristol and definitly not at an airport. I live in Bath but visited Bristol last weekend which was when I noticed it. No friends could identify it for me. So I decided to post this question here. Thank you.

@TheJordoShow93 Hi Thanks for your reply. But I have already looked at the Shot Tower as some one else suggested it on another video and it definitly is not the Shot Tower. The one I saw had a room built on top of a colume. It was tall towering over others. Maybe by the water front. I think I saw it from White Ladies Road. But thank you anyway.

@MikeGreenwood51 I have another idea, although I'm doubtful as to whether it's what you're looking for. But it matches some of your description. It's a tall white column with a vertical black stripe, and a black tip at the top. Is that what you're thinking of? If you go on Google maps, type in The Institute of Child Health, and search on satellite, you can clearly see what I refer to just above and to the right
