  • Tae kwon do beats all

  • kessedy, you are hilarious. come down to LA and i will make an introduction! hahah

  • @sakeshotz

trust me i would love, to learn new stuff, change with expirience, fight a bit and stuff, but i live nowhere near LA or america.

  • would i like to meet him in ring?

    Yes

    why would i?

I have better technique, tho he is fast

what should he do to be better?

3 months intensive muay thai, that would fix his kicks, and the arm positioning

would i want to meet the guy at all after 3 months of intesive muay thai?

    no f way :D

  • im no expert, but he looks good jsut because its a boxing bag.. not a real opponent...

he has weak knee hits, and those who come from side are useless, effective knee strikers are hit forward not from a side, his low kicks are weak, arms too low, good speed but weak punches..

    som q and a

  • @kessedy

and you're an idiot for judging him off a heavy bag training video. Shohei's a national champion in Kyokushin Karate. His leg kicks are strong enough to snap your leg, his head kicks will knock you out, his punches are strong enough to break ribs, and his knees are just as damaging. and he's even more devastating in front of an opponent. Tell me he has weak strikes after you take a few hits from him. Look up "Shohei Yamamoto" on google or youtube, to see his fights and his background.

  • @BrettNASTYY

i can tell one good thing about kyokushin fighters, theyr triaing allows them to hold one more punch then any other guy :D About leg snapping, anyone can snap a lag with a decent low kick, and if hes national champ then at what age group, what were the rules? another "touch me, touch you" competition? :D and knees are obviously weak, realy good fighter can take another person no matter how strong, tall or heavy, with one hit if you guy needs several, he has problems :D

  • @kessedy

and i can tell you think Muay Thai is the most dominant fighting sport right now. Well Mas Oyama defeated Black Cobra, one of the best Muay Thai fighters to ever live. Kyokushin fighter Akio Fujihiha defeated muay thai fighter Huafai Lukcontai in 1964 at the Lumpini stadium in Thailand. Kyokushin fighter Ryu Narushima defeated Anuwat. These were official Kyokushin vs. Muay Thai fights that were documented. Japan accepted Thailands challenge to fight their fighters, and Kyokushin won.

  • @BrettNASTYY

i didnt say kyokushin sucks or anything, i told that the fighter isnt the best iv seen, not on youtube, in life, and should i actually do research of when muay thai fighters or with muay thai backround fighters have wone champs? cups or whatever? my opinion of whats the best is subjective, and from what iv heard yours is too. I have no idea what rules were at 1964 fight. eliminating punches because most people suck at blocking hits at face :D ridiculous :D

  • @kessedy

are you kidding me? you have to always keep your hands up to block from kicks to the face, and even with blocks fighters can break their forearms from the power of the kicks. And you must not have watched the 1964 fight which is ON youtube, because the rules allowed punches kicks and knees to the face, clinches, throws, etc. You have no right to judge kyokushin fighters when you've never even fought one.

  • @BrettNASTYY

ok i saw the videos for example watch?v=D4A1T8Yg9Aw

i actually prepared my self to be wrong... but lol... hes good only because rules are hilarious, no throws, no grappling or holding, no hits at head :D, game of touch me, touch you, weak body hits, but maybe its my illusion because because im more used to watch full contact fights and participate in those. Tho i admit by those rules in video i would probably lose

  • @kessedy

Before you talk, do some research. you should watch Fight Quest: Kyokushin Karate on youtube to learn more about it, there are 6 parts.

and if you think Kyokushin fighters cant last in a real fight, look at Andy Hug K1 Champion, George St. Pierre UFC Champion, and Bas Rutten former UFC Champion, their backgrounds are in Kyokushin Karate.

And that fight you watched of Shohei was one where he actually lost to Taison Naito in the finals, both are amazing fighters who train together.

  • @kessedy

And Muay Thai? you obviously don't know much about Kyokushin because if you did, you'd know that the training is much more brutal than kicking banana trees. you're a fool for challenging Shohei.

And im PRETTY sure you don't have better technique than he does...

  • @BrettNASTYY

    watch?v=D4A1T8Yg9Aw

  • @kessedy

weak body hits? are you kidding me? it might look painless because kyokushin karateka are trained to take punches like its nothing, but those punches dig in deep. and Kyokushin used to include throws, grapples, you used to be able to grab the opponents gi, and there used to be hits to the face, but recent changes in rules have taken them away. Since Sosai Mas Oyama died, (the founder) Kancho Shokei Matsui took over and took away the throws, etc.

  • @kessedy

Mas Oyama had a solid background in judo before he started karate, which is why it was incorporated. and punches to the face were eliminated because its too easy to knock an opponent out with a punch, but a kick or a knee to the face requires much more skill.

and now you're just disrespecting Kyokushin. you NEVER talk trash about a martial art, especially when you have no idea what you're talking about. Kyokushin definitely is not a game of touch me touch you.

  • @BrettNASTYY

and in that video there was touch me touch you -.-

i know kyoku fighters have good stamina, but it was hilarious, and muay thai has more, hurtfull ways of training that kyoku fighters have, tho i cant speak about every school :D im talking about my local kyoku club and local muay thai club.

maybe its not me not knowing kyoku good enough, its you not knowing muay thai good enough?

tho i have done some martial arts, i my self am a jujutsu fighter, tho have done aikido 6 years

  • @kessedy

so because of that fight you think that Kyokushin is about "touch me, touch you"? The reason why the fight ended up like that was because Taison and Shohei practice at the same dojo, they know each others styles so they were extra cautious, which was why Taison was able to avoid almost all of Shohei's ushiro mawashigeri's.

you dont realize how ignorant you sound, acting like you know what kyokushin is when you base your views off of a few videos.

  • @kessedy

and kyokushin fighters have amazing toughness and strength, the training is brutal. Again, watch FIGHT QUEST: KYOKUSHIN KARATE part 1-6. you'll see how brutal it really is. the fighters were interviewed and said that out of all the MA's they've experienced, muay thai, kung fu, tkd, wing chun, savate, etc. kyokushin was the most brutal.

I've done judo for 11 1/2 years, im shodan black belt, and im currently doing Kyokushin Karate. dont tell me i dont know what im talking about.
