idk its a close call. When Bella described Jane she said she was as tiny as Alice. She was slim and androgynous. The only time Jane was referred to a child was when she smiles. "Jane smiled; the expression made her look like an angelic child" The book really don't get to much into detail about her. I think she will pull it off. i think shed b good if they died her hair darker, in one of pictures it seems like she can pull off the evil vampire look but im a afraid that if they put her in it she will get too much recognition. everyone already knows who she is while everyone else in the movie is more on the down low.

Well I think she will ruin the movie but since she's Jane not anyone important like if there was Edward's NEW girlfriend (wich would NEVER happan) Then I would HATE TWILIGHT SERIES AND EVERYTHING! so ya..

i have nothing against dakota fanning but im not really happy with her portraying the role of jane...i guess i was expecting someone a little less famous so she wont be the center of attention cuz she is known almost everywhere :)...
bottom line is...I CANT WAIT FOR NEW MOON!!! =D

i dont like her for this part. she has the cute part down but i dont think she could play the evil part very well. and lucas grabeel is too old for alec!! i think dakota is even a little old

I think she would be absolutely perfect, I mean I can just SEE her beaming up at Aro and then torturing Edward and her face fallen in to frustration as she acknowledges that she can't torture Bella and, then, in eclipse having a business like -face on and saying to carlisle " No we can't let Bree survive!" She is PERFECT!!

yeah i thought she had dark hair? lol oh well dakota fanning would be perfect though! i can't wair for new moon i'm sooo excited!! it's my least fav so i'll probably be crying when edward leaves and stuff lol! but i am looking forward to seeing rob pattinson's bare chest for a good 30 min. But i guess we wont have 2 be sad for long because the producers have said that they wont prolong edwards absence coz they dont want robert to be gone for a long part of the movie =)

When i was reading New Moon Dakota Fannin pop right into my head. She would be awesome but the thing is she well known and when people go see the movie they are going to be thinking look it's Dakota Fannin not hey look it Jane!!! But other than that she would be great.

I really dont think she should play Jane. Dakota's a good actress and all but maybe someone more mature should play Jane. Vanessa Hudgens might play Leah Clearwater also

i do like dakota fanning as an actress, but not as jane. jane should be more mature, older than dakota is. she's just not right for it. when i pictured jane, i saw more of a (and i know they're not actresses) carrie underwood and taylor swift mixture. tall, pretty, thicker built than dakota's slim figure. i honestly don't know if i would ever go to see this film if dakota were jane because it would just ruin the movie for me and that would be sad because i absolutely love stephenie meyer's books

i always pictured Jane as..... oh i dont know.... AN ADULT. call me crazy but i dont think a girl who looks 10 should play a vamp with a serious role like Jane's. But she IS small as described.

I honestly think that Dakota is just TOO defined in Hollywood already. It will just ruin the whole "unknown actor becomes famous factor" you know? Don't get me wrong she is a wonderful actress just...too famous for Twilight. ._.

I think Dakota will be an excellent jane despite the fact that she usually plays...lighter roles. i think she has the potential to be SOO sadistic its scary; just what we need 4 jane. i hope she takes the part. but if not jodelle is an excellent choice too.
