  • I was listening to this the other day with my girlfriend, this song made her cry. Lousy Mark! What a beautiful song!

  • Mark Lanegan is a god among men, so god-damn beautiful :)

  • Brings tears to my eyes.

  • mark lanegan dousn´t sound like ...

honestly i dislike comparing ... sorry but this is definitely unique !!!

    without questing !

    greetz

  • Never listened to a not talented rockstar as him before

  • Mark, great voice !

  • He kinda sounds like Tom Waits to me. Totally diggin' it.

  • @slunkerdoo What! I'm glad you dig it, but Tom Waits can't hold 1 of Marks cigarettes!

  • @jczother I SO FUCKING CONCUR! THIS MARK CAT IS OFF THE CHARTS OF ANYTHING YET. RESPECT SEATTLE.

  • @antjuanoden SEATTLE WHERE IT ALL HAPPENED OVER @) YRS: DAMN IM GETN OLD MARKS THE MAN STILL CRANKING OUT UNREAL MUSIC!!!!

  • @jczother That is an insane statement. Tom Waits is legendary. Mark Lanegan is pretty damn good but I have never heard anything so backwards.

  • @harbinger123Mark Isn't, Tom Waits "NEVER" wrote, played the kind of music Mark has. You haven't heard the half of it, if you think Waits is anything to compare to Lanegan...

  • @jczother Neither of these artists are for little kids, Mark is incredibly talented but Waits has a hefty amount of DEEP music as well, the fact that he's half goofball as well shouldn't take away from his deeper products and the fact that Lanegan has refused to delve into as many different styles as Waits doesn't mean that he's preserved his credibility any more. I wouldn't discredit either artist as far as to say they can't loan each other a smoke if it came to it.

  • @harbinger123 It's bad when you see he "kinda" sounds like Tom Waits, sorry he is a legend. I was a 23 yr old kid the 1st time I seen Mark with the Trees. Deep, Whiskey for the Holy Ghost, this! Now he's still kicking ass with Gutter Twins, QSA, Isabel Cambell. As the post below, his voice sounds different on every song...

Different styles, from Screaming Trees to his stuff with Isabel, are you kidding me. Waits has a raspy voice, so does Mark the end. I don't mean to down him, sorry...

  • @jczother I have heard Waits and he's great in his way. Mark is still paving, Oh guardian of peace, let the beggar walk the Winter. I hear some influence in a few tunes, but Mark singing "Dollar Bill" sounds like Mark.

  • "The Jury" was a duo not realised with lanegan and cobain, you can listen the kurt's voice on the album winding sheet. Lanegan and cobain admired Leadbelly (a bluesman)

  • A great artist ex grunge like Kurt Cobain but alive... I hope another meet with pj Harvey and him for an album of the same quality that Bubblegum. Sorry for my English because I'm french.

  • @pacobvr he was the last person to see cobain alive I think. they were good friends.

  • Ha... You gotta be a pretty heavy smoker to have a voice like that.

  • Loved him in Queens of the Stone Age and love his solo stuff

  • Mark Lanegan is probably the best living artist from 90s.

  • Lap dance tune.

  • It's a different world, they left you to this

    To janitor

    The emptiness

  • Best album.

  • 'they left you to this, to janitor the emptiness...'

chills. up. spine. It's Tom Waits having a nightmare.

  • It's like Mark just sang exactly how he felt without writing it down or preparing it at all. He does that a lot...captures the exact atmosphere of whatever mood he's in in his music. Bubblegum is one of the best albums in the past decade beyond the shadow of a doubt.

  • @LobotomyMadeEasy

    It really is.

  • Another witching hour dirge by Him. Funny, he actually smiled at his recent gig w/ Isobel in Seattle. He's getting soft...lol

  • mark lanegan has the manliest voice of all time

  • Mark Lanegan = The epitom of class

  • lol

  • I love Mark Lanegan! His voice sounds different in every single song, but still, it always remains so distinctively his. So full with emotion. How does he do that?!

  • @MadHattresss How? Look up the Road less Taken by Robert Frost...bless ya heart.

  • @MadHattresss It's called living life to its fullest, with all the painful regrets and unforgettable joys that go along with it.

  • @MadHattresss how does he do it?

    Don't try this at home.

  • i like his weird voice!!

  • @babukuka as of 2010-2011 nobody....nobody baby...sings like him. Nobody.

  • @babukuka REPLACE WEIRD WITH SEXY. I'VE SEEN HIM LIVE, THE GROUND SHAKES. NO, REALLY. IT IS A WHOLE NEW FREQUENCY.

  • Epic ! Best song. I like this version
