its funny cause now most people buy their ships with real money now, lest til they find a wormhole and not get utterly destroyed by veterans. Eve is fun, but its exclusively reserved for vets with all the new updates and modifications, makes it extremely hard to earn your way up without paying actual money.

First is the freedom. You can pretty much do anything in EVE. Some stuff you do in EVE would get you banned from other games. Pretty much everything goes except glitching, botting, hacking or RMT.

Next, it's free. After you play for a while you can start paying for game time with real cash.

the smallest combat verssels you can own are frigates and the largest are titans, and everything in between

Yeah it is frustrating that to get into the bigger ships it takes a long ass time to train for, and then you also have the supporting skills to train which take even more time than to get the ship. Its stressful, but man when you finally get there its like no other feeling.

@ Those of you who want to play eve just because of this video. To fly an Aeon properly, it would take well over a year's worth of training. Not to mention multiple billions of isk for the ship, fitting, and drones (also around 1 billion isk for all the skill books. Carrier skillbook alone is 400mil). My character is just now reaching a year in age and still has around 100 days of training left to use a Archon (shown at 1:16)

@geforce5591 roflmao I didn't mean to! But being in a super carrier doesn't mean all that much tbh. Yeah its an amazing ship but it has 2 major downfalls. 1) It can't go into empire (hi sec) space, so anyone can attack it when they wish. 2) it can't dock inside of a station like all other ships can do, besides titans. You need to keep it inside of a POS (player owned station) to keep it out of harms way, which hostile players can attack and destroy (granted this can take quite some time).

@MaliciousGrim05 eh, i wouldn't call either of those downfalls. 1.) neither carriers nor dreads nor titans can go into high sec either and that doesn't stop people from flying them, and any ship, even in high sec, can be attacked at any time. and 2.) people don't have to leave them in POSs. they create alts with rudimentary skills to fly them, pass them to said alt in space, then log the alt out. within a minute the ship disappears from space and is perfectly safe.

@getthescoop You can spec into a Mother-ship in under a year, but you would just get the basics; rendering your ship terribly under-gunned and frail. For a properly fitted Mother-ship we're talking 2-3yrs or so

1. your computer sucks

2. your setting is too high for the computer you have.

I think the amarr where the last to make a mother ship and they needed quick thinking to compete, so they just said alright guys we need to design a Super Carrier and we need to do it fast. Hmm i have an idea lets put make it as big as 2 achron's and we can just put one of the archon's at a 90 degree angle at one another.

@Bonkertink dont use agents if ur in a mothership mate. cant insure them either, and you can repair them using repair modules, mostly remote repair modules such as remote armor+shield, also thermal paste if youve overheated any mods.

however agents... never gunna happen but, if your in a mothership you, really dont need to use them for anything =)
