It the same just like the us wii. It just only plays Japanese games, and connects to the japanese server.

Yes if you can connect to the internet. You can access the Japanese server. You just need a good connect if you want fast speed. The only thing that will not work is the food ordering channel.

No I have a real japanese Wii. Also I only have the HBC on it. I never installed a new Cios. So I can't install wads on that wii.

I personally have no idea. I have a Japanese wii that i put hombrew on it. I know you can add the channels. Not sure if the will work.
