What emperical proof is there God does not exist apart from the failure by theists to prove God emperically. So atheism still remains a belief system until when God is proven not to exist emperically. God is said to be beyond the 7th heaven. The lowest heaven is the stars. So until when forensic experts are sent there, atheists are still belivers like most of us who uphold the Quran or the Bible.

I wouldn't argue with an agnostic but have a axe to grind with an atheist who propagates with science, becuase he would need to furnish his evidence as well God does not exist. "Russell's Teapot" applies here too. It's also more difficult to prove God does not exist as opposed to exit, becuase you have to check all space just like in the case of a missing person. In God's case, you must analyse the space where he is claimed to be and prove it does not constitute him.

A plumber wouldn't know electric current is flowing in a pipe unless he hooks a suitable multimeter or gets a nasty shock. The scientist in this case is the plumber and God is the current (Outside the UK most plumbers are not trained electricians). Scientists do not have the instruments that can be used to identify there is God, simple. You wouldn't tell there is DC current on a trail if you are using an AC voltimeter would you? Yours is a shot in the dark! However, other methods exist.

Consider a baby lying in a crib, looking at itś own pudgy little hands waving around in front of itś eyes. It barely has any comprehension of what those things are or that they belong to it.
