Ah, very nice job on the Alex Lifeson stuff! Kudos on your good taste. This is a great amp with killer tone. I'm really starting to want one of my own. Cheers!
i really want a ht-5 just dont kno if to get the combo (which is cheaper) or the mini stack but i'd be saving for like a year nd cant wait tha long coz i hav a crappy marshal mg :(
@Milo9 You recorded this on your mobile? That's crazy, man! It sounds great! Much better than a lot of videos I've seen made with "proper" kit. Impressive phone. :)
I've heard that you can connect any cabinet to the combo version too.. is it true?
I'm trying to decide too, and if this is true I'd prefer the combo so that I can play it not too loud at home or bring just the amp when I practice with the band (connecting it to the PA) using the cabinet at the gigs..
I'm not going to lie mate, you've got some insane riffage abilities! Also, you're working that amp pretty good too. I'm thinking about getting one of the Artisan series stacks. Hoping I can pull some of your stuff off in time :D
I'm thinking of getting one of these sometime soon, but first I'd like to know if it would be suitable for playing metal on (In Flames, Arch Enemy, Metallica, etc) or would it need some kind of boost? And if so, would a Boss DS1 do the job or would it sound crappy? Sounds good from what I've heard though. Nice playing by the way
all it means is that when you plug headphones into the jack, it emulates the qualities of a 1x12 or a 4x12 instead of just giving you the sound of the preamp. it makes for a fuller, more realistic amp tone through the headphones.
yeah great sound

What is the song you play at 8:25 that does the HT5 so much justice!!
That saturated fat brown sound, it must be 80's metal.

Well I think this vid sounds pretty metal. check out my other vids for other metal vids.
Can be used with or without boost, it's fine on it's own though.
Milo9 2 years ago
Cool, thanks
lyonk55 2 years ago
Is this the the stack or the combo you're playing through?
thubbard00 2 years ago
It's the head through a 2x12.

Please could someone explain to me what the emulated output is?
Please reply!

Crappy playing? Fuck that. You're great man. One question though. Is this gig-worthy? Thanks in advance and KEEP ON ROCKING!
oldGNRfan23 3 years ago
Thanks, and yeh, it's gig worthy. I played to 400 people not so long back. Just plugged it into a 4x12 and put it on 10!
Milo9 3 years ago
Is this the head or the combo?
and also, did you need to mic it up?
fredericiscool 3 years ago
Would it be good with a 112 cabinet?
fredericiscool 3 years ago
what cab do you use here
IwishIwereJoe 3 years ago
Just a cheap Randall 2x12 with Celestion 80s.
Milo9 3 years ago
Sorry to double comment but are you using that ISF feature to change the sounds? It really covers things quite nicely in this video!
ugforthewin 3 years ago
Yeh, metal is a bit over to the USA side, and the lighter rock is on the British side,
Milo9 3 years ago
Very nice mate, I approve. Would the combo sound like this as well?
ugforthewin 3 years ago
great tone..gettin a HT-5 also...
neildonoghue 3 years ago
That sounds awesome. I don't know what you are talking about with your "crappy" playing. You were laying down some seriously chunky metal rythyms.
ThePechanator 3 years ago
Thanks a lot :)
I'm not even close to what some of these Youtube guys are like though.
Milo9 3 years ago
DO you recommend the head/combo as a first serious amp?
It sounds awesome
thebassman07 3 years ago
any pedals or the distortion is straight from the amp?
Haemon666 3 years ago
I use a Tubescreamer (TS-808) in it, but it's not on all the time.
Milo9 3 years ago
can you make a demo of the clean channel please?
sstavrin 3 years ago
Yeah, I'll do one tomorrow :)
Milo9 3 years ago
is it the combo or the head?
sstavrin 3 years ago
It's the head. The cab is a Randall closed back 2x12 with Celestions.
