You'd have to take that up with the writer of the play, Eve Ensler. But she uses different women as representative for whole groups. This could happen anywhere.

That was my daughter. I was approached by the director to use her and she is very much a little activist and wanted to do it but the condition was that she would be brought in for her part and then taken out so that she wouldn't watch the play itself...
so yeah, I had the same concerns and we worked it out. But since those words were actually uttered by a 6 year-old and since we do say vagina in our house, I was absolutely fine with her doing the piece...
No, no, I meant the baby in the audience that is randomly shouting out during your first monologue. Seriously, those people couldn't find a sitter? I really don't think anything in this show could entertain that baby!
Oh I hear ya! I noticed that when I viewed the video, didn't hear it on stage thank goodness, and was shocked that a baby was even allowed in! Oh well... Break a leg! When are you guys performing? Hope it goes fabulously well...
