There might be lots of 10+ minutes long songs (be they studio versions or live performances/improvisations) in the music industry, but only a handful of them I could listen to/watch the videos over and over again thousands of times and never get tired of. Dire Straits' Tunnel of Love & Telegraph Road. Pink Floyd's Shine On Your Crazy Diamond. And this one, for sure. Truly a spectacular performance. Kudos to Mike and the band.

Yes I did. A larger set of chimes are being played backstage. There is a different performance of this that shows those. Does any know the names of the band and vocalists besides Helen Pepsi. They are all soooo good.

AMAZING! I saw another version of this song (live, same venue, same outfits, same musicians) with the worst guitar solo in history but this one... WOW!!!! Mike really used all of his skills and put his soul into this one!!!

this is ok but it lacks the magic of the first one for me. I do like the ethnic vocals but I m not a great synth fan so I m biased. I love the accoustic feel and soul of the original. But, Mike 's contribution to music will always be revered. Tubular bells, hergest ridge and best of all Ommadawn stil move me beyond words even after all these years. great to see the guy looking so well and performing to full crowds. There is justice.

ok, seriously, watching this after (another run of) Montreux 1981, and this is just a poor show. Were it not for the pretty people dancing happily when they don't have part to play/sing and pretty light effects, the concert is subpar for what Mike can do. Of course, this is still miles better than anything else out there, but... the old classic Oldfield is definitly the best. Oh and despite everything I still love Outcast for its being on the verge of craziness. + lol @ 10.59 playback ts ts...

@camylarde I can only concur, the guitar solo from 10.59 onward is genious. I also prefer Mike's older records but maybe that's also because I know them by heart. I love the high notes in Orabidoo and the guitar solo on Exposed Tubular Bells part 2 11/13 from 4.59, check it out!

@Maxiclaudi Have you noticed how the Bells player misses a note and it still got played? Thats what i commented when calling out playback. And studio version of this one is better IMO. See Montreux 1981 for a superb concert of Mike.

@ulladubullab Still nada. I did another search and found a DVD titled "Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells 2 & 3 Live" from Allmusicimports. It's still region 2 though. So I purchased a region free DVD player from Amazon. Maybe a waste of money, maybe not. We'll see. Thanks for your suggestions!
