  • Straight Flex and No Coat do not have expansion control. They are not comparable products to Magic Corner. Plus once a house is finished and furnished, who wants to drag in scaffolding to fix those products when they fail?

  • Never have used this stuff, seen it in some stores, But it seems like it would take longer to install, and coat than straight flex or like a no coat tape.

    Sorry,

I do want to use the crown molding stuff.

  • @slockwood83 ive pulled thousands of feet of straight flex off walls over the years. no coat is ok but i havent found anything that compares to magic corner

  • @lovesomecujo Does the paint crack when this stuff moves? Your correct there are hundreds of homes that the Straight flex and other tapes come off. Either the house moving, or the taper screwed up and pushed to hard and squeezed all the mud from under the tape. I would love to try this stuff out.

  • @slockwood83 ive never heard of it cracking not once i think as long as the painter doesnt prime it, as you are directed not to prime the expansion control, and does not pile a bunch of paint in there i dont think it ever will but i guess only time and time and time will tell
