Maybe it's his dialect from Iraq. Uzbeks can speak Turkic language, but can't say the same pronounciations of words in Turkish.
Some Farsi words are different sounding when people from Afghanistan and Iran say it. Just a thought, maybe he is tongue-tied like me. =]

that's how it is in colloquial arabic...in palestinian dialect... and so i assume also in iraqi dialect
