• he says "mkay" like mr. mackie lol 0:37

  • Bronze is a mix of copper and Ten, theres no exact formula so you can have 50%copper and 50% ten

  • ten? or tin?

  • selling the atlanta one for $20k, but i'm sure he bought it for $100. that's some mark up...

  • they're both won by americans, mmk? which means they're worth more money, mmk?

  • welcome to america , where you could by a third place olympic metal that you did not win !

  • Why would anyone buy an olympic medal? Actually I would.. and tell my grandkids I was in the olympics.

  • "Interesting fact about these ones, was that they were both worn by americans MKAY, which makes them worth more money.... MKAY."

    - gives me teh lulz

  • well it's a business, if he wants to help he'll put up maybe a hospital . . . wait not that . . . he'dd have a charitable institution then we'll have a different show, we'll see old people and not the cool stuffs. Know what you're watching, if you don't like it then don't watch it so they don't make money from you, and i don't have to explain how that happens right? Just enjoy the show.

  • @hotchman99 well fucking excuse me, cocksucker.

  • Olympic Medalist: " I wanna sell my gold medal from the Olympics where I proudly won it for my country "

Rick: " Looks nice, lets get my buddy down here who specializes in Olympic Medals "

Expert: " It's the real deal worth about $20,000 "

( Expert leaves the store )

Rick: " I'll offer $500 because when you look at it from my point of view, how many Olympians just walk right in here? "

Olympic Medalist: " Well...I guess so"

Rick: " Great, lets do the paperwork"

  • i hope he never gets his 20k for it.. all pawn brokers are rip off merchants.. FACT ! ! !

  • I would like to call my buddy, he is an expert on olympic medals

  • Did anybody find medals thrown into the river by Muhammad Ali?

  • I always thought the whole thing about Olympic gold medals was bullshit. A so called olympic gold medal is made of 92.5% Silver and the rest gold. They're is approximately 6 grams of gold in an olympic gold medal.Last time an olympic gold medal was made of solid gold was in 1912. I'm not saying it should be solid gold but at least 51% of it should be gold. 6 grams of gold is about $240 worth of gold.

  • The fact that the winners pawned those bronze medals would tell you they were not particularly proud of finishing third. You want someone to pay $20,000 for a bronze medal won by a guy who does not value the achievement. If it was a gold medal then i could see the value of of paying $20,000. It would be rare to get one as anybody whoever won one would generally hold it as a prize possesion to always remember their achievement. A bronze medal for $20,000 ??? C'mon....give me a fucking break.

  • And you probably paid $3,000 tops a piece....

  • Who da hell would sell his/her olympic medal?! o.O

  • @Ozzy2817 Drug habit, obscurity, need money for medicine, rent etc and they're in no shape to compete.

    Plus they're 3rd place medals.

  • what kind of person walks into a pawn asking if u hav a olympic medal on sale

  • what asshole would sell this to a pawn shop, is nothing worth keeping anymore? ITS AN OLYMPIC MEDAL

  • @MegamaXX500 you gotta do what you gotta do.

  • I hate it when the expert comes in saying, "It's worth 3,000$"

Then the guy selling it is like, "You heard the man, 3,000$"

Then Rick weezes for 3 seconds and says "Look at it my way, I could probably make 2,500$ on a good day, the most I can go is 700$ and I don't even know why I'm doing this, it's a shot in the dark"

  • @zenar154 The reason an expert will call an item at that price is as if it was sold at a high estimate in an auction. Pawn shops do not run auctions, nor are they guaranteed to get the item at that price when they sell it. Therefore, there is no point buying an item for what it's worth, they (the pawn shop) would not make any money. To be confused at rick's offers is actually pretty naive, and the customers who try to get away with asking for its total value are just as naive.

  • want the theme song guitar solo?

    watch?v=fqlQrFj5B64&feature=channel_video_title

  • Fattest show on TV since Roseanne

  • @alakbakbak Tell me about it, I still watch it to see people get ripped off though.

"You gotta see from my eyes, i need to make money on this." "I know but it cost 40,000 not 10 bucks."

  • Tell ya what, I've got a buddy of mine who's an expert on olympic medals...

  • @malofa99 LMAO!! Good one. He must have alot of buddys cuz he calls one for everything!

  • He bought them both for $500 lol

  • America...in america by america with americans..Fuck off!!!

  • He paid 1k a piece for em.

  • Seller: Hi I'd like to sell you the robe of Jesus Christ.

Rick: Alright. How much were you looking to get out of it?

    Seller: About $500,000

Rick: *hehehe* okaaay, thats not happening. How about 50 bucks?

Seller: Meet me in the middle at $75.

Rick *pounders for like 10 minutes* ... alright, I can go $75. Right him up Chum.

  • @TheSteadicamGuy you have any prof just cause the tag says JC don't make it his >.>

  • @TheSteadicamGuy WRITE HIM UP. RETARD.

  • @TheSteadicamGuy HOLY FUCK THATS HILARIOSU

  • 20g for a bronze medal???

man fuck the olympics! wake me up when the NFL starts in september!

  • @guitarbridgecleaner It's a legit item being sold in a legit store. Get over yourself.

  • @guitarbridgecleaner People on the street are not the only customers they get...they have museums and art galleries and private collectors all over the world for their business.

  • at .35 sec it looks like he coked up! lol

  • in america !

  • who the fuck pawns a olympic medal ?

  • @fujinmage the athletes in minor sports that don't get paid millions of dollars.

  • @tmlms1313 its not about the money, its about the honor!!!!! id rather suck out some low cash time than sell a tokin of my accompliments

  • @fujinmage tell me that when you are 45 broke and unemployed. or have a gambling problem

  • @tmlms1313 yea.... id take the honor any day of the week. but then again i live in a contry with a gov that suports the unemployed, students ect. instead of spending tax on military ect.

  • @fujinmage When did Canada start spending all its money on the military?

  • @tmlms1313 i was think about the usa.... i dont know about the canada health system as im not canadian

  • @fujinmage we have universal health care, unlike the US. I don't want to get into a debate over the various European vs Canada vs US politics

  • @fujinmage people who want to make money you tard

  • @fujinmage Someone who owns an olympic medal. :)

  • @fujinmage somebody with true american pride

  • @fujinmage Nobody likes to loose. I'd sell it too.

  • @FernandoLuis191 LOL love you;re comment .

  • @fujinmage An Olympian who didn't get the Wheaties deal and needed to pay rent.

  • @fujinmage A sprinter who was about to get some concrete sneakers :) ?

  • who would win an Olympic medal and then sell it to a Pawn shop?

  • @tomfy1979 It Bronze no one like being in 3rd

  • @tomfy1979 one's that would need money when they retire because the athletes have to wait four years and they get old

  • @tomfy1979 that person must think the value of the metal is worth more than the value of the medal obviously.

  • MY BUDDY IS AN EXPERT ON OLYMPIC MEDALS

  • when he says tin it sounds just like hes saying ten

  • So... if I had thirty thousand dollars... I could complete my Kurt Angle costume?

  • Why would they be worth more because they were won by americans? Stupid americans.

  • @mojen93 hmm, why would an AMERICAN, walk into an AMERICAN pawn shop, buy an AMERICAN bronze medal, won by an AMERICAN during the last time the olympic games were held on AMERICAN soil and spend 20,000 AMERICAN dollars on it....it just boggles the mind

  • @Pancakes23 because AMERICANS are fucking full of themselves

  • @mojen93 Probably worth more to him, being an American Pawn Shop. Would you walk into a pawn shop in your country and pay the same for 2 medals, one being won by your countryman and one not? Makes sense to me, and I'm not American.

  • @ruffestneckaround Yeah that is what he means but he doesnt explain that like thousands of other of examples of that kinda comment that makes americans believe they are number 1. I do beleive its impossible to grow up in america without hearing the media cry out number 1 were number 1. its quite amusing.

  • @mojen93 I like how you call us stupid, when in reality, you're fucking retarded.

  • Thats sad. Car Crash injury ?

  • Thats sad

  • ha! ill give 300 ricky dude

  • Depending on how long ago it was won. Chances are probably good that the winner died and their relatives hocked it.

  • @NativeShaman Joe Greene (born February 17, 1967, Dayton, Ohio) was an American athlete (track and field) who competed for the United States in the 1992 Summer Olympics held in Barcelona, Spain in the Long Jump where he won the bronze medal. He repeated this performance four years later winning a second bronze in the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta. Joe Greene was injured before the 2000 Olympic Games and lost his sponsors, leaving him "with many bills to pay."

  • America for the win......oh wait they're bronze

  • back in like 07 a teacher was talkin about metals and i was the only kid in my class that knew bronze was tin+copper. he also said 1 kid earlier knew it. it was my friend, which we both have played runescape forever

  • @bobbert152 Ya man. Lol same thing.

  • @bobbert152 for sure

  • @bobbert152 as i was reading this i fucking knew there was gonna be something about runescape in there somewhere XD RS=<3

  • @bobbert152 Exact samething happened to me when I was in school. Thank you Runescape.

  • @bobbert152 I worship you :3

  • @bobbert152 ROONSCAPE FTW

  • @bobbert152 ahh, the things you learn from video games

  • @bobbert152 awesomesauce, im lvl 77 or 78 i forget.

  • @bobbert152 Thats how i learned about bronze too! ROFL

  • @bobbert152 hahahaha yup!!

  • @bobbert152 thats literally the only reason i know what bronze is XD

  • @bobbert152

Yep thats how i learned it.

  • @bobbert152

Dude!! haha me to. I was around 9 to know what bronze was. xD only one from the class. And also because of runescape xD

  • @bobbert152 you can't even spell "medal" so i doubt your story.

  • @CCHLsBestHockey bro he is actually talking about metals, not medals. the medal is a metal alloy of copper/tin.

  • @bobbert152 lol

  • @bobbert152 Hahah :D. I learned about all my english from Runescape to, how do people mean, games are stupid?

  • @bobbert152 lmao....niceeeee

  • He can't say tin.

  • 10k for the ladies to think I'm a Olympic medalist? I'll take it!

  • If I won a shitty bronze I'd sell it too

  • I guess they realized no one really cared after all, there is no endorsment deals.... so they'd rather have the cash I guess. I'd keep it though.

  • shouldn't the event to the medals count??

  • Shouldnt it be that the one won outside America would be more expensive?

  • @CamiloSanchez1979 somebody from america would rather buy a medal won by an american than somebody from another country. It's not like medals from outside the country are more rare or something.

  • why the fuck are american medals worth more?!

  • @StarDida because he is selling them in American i would guess and also we kick butt in the Olympics. Team USA!!

  • Mr.Mackie Mkayy... Mkayy.. ..Mkay...

  • You go to the olympics to win Gold's. Nobody wants the bronze, they don't want it downgrading their trophy cabinet.

  • Well, u can sell ur medall but u already won the olympics so what's the big shit about it. I mean muhammad ali threw his olympic gold medal to a river for crying at loud. but the important thing is that he won and nothing changes that

  • You could probably get more money for them from the person who won fourth place XD

I mean really, at least they'd pay full price for them.

  • im so glad that rick said don't have to be a great athlete to own an Olympic medal - he's got two!........... yay i think

  • did you have your buddy come check those out????????????

  • Let me go pick some money off my money trees, and then we have a deal. LOL

  • Just THINK, we the tax payer, paid for them to party and play and then SELL !!!!

  • sad!

  • Hey, Michael Phelps! I'll give you $20 for all 8 of your gold medals!

  • Comment removed

  • Geez first a super bowl ring and now this. WTF is WRONG with these people? You bust your ass to win the Olympics only to pawn your medal. You can bet he paid half for each medal.

  • tin not ten

  • drugs are bad mmmmmkay?

  • i guess the athletes wanted gold insted of bronze lol

  • WTF selling ssuch thing ...man you can sell you family as I see

  • You know how little precious metal is in a medal? x]

  • MKAAYYYYYYYY ...MAKYY? MKAY?

  • @loywen oh my goodness thats what i was thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!mkay

  • @XxberserkerxXxx LOVE U

  • @loywen LOL!!! :)

  • @loywen lmao made me laugh

  • Laughing stock of a Olympic medal = speed walking.

  • somebody got pissed of at coming 3rd....

  • is that a jim morrison piece to the left of rick i would pay anything for that

  • @cmskid20 They mention the price in one of these vids. Sorry I forget which one. I actually looked around a bit for you, but couldn't find it. It was quite pricey from what I remember. I think it was at least several tens of thousands.

  • @newguy33X thanks anyway i didn't think someone was gonna take that much thought thank you for trying tho

  • Ridiculous prices for some random bronze medals. If they were gold, or won by someone who was now a famous professional athlete, maybe they'd be worth a look.

  • @newguy33X its worth that much for bronze medals because there is only one bronze metal, one silver, and one gold, not 20 bronze, not 20 silver, and not 20 gold, rarity ups the prices, (not chewing u out)

  • @Pow1017 How much disposable income would you have to have in order to make it worth it for you? I know I'd have to have about $10 million or more before I'd consider wasting money on these. Too random, just bronze, not worth it to me at all.

  • @newguy33X like i said, its one of a kind from a certain year

  • @Pow1017 Well, we'll have to agree to disagree on what we think they're really worth. My final point: It's someone else's medal, someone else's accomplishment. It didn't make sense to me in the first place why someone would spend a lot of money on something like that...and my other points...

  • @newguy33X i know, i agree that you do have a point, i sometimes think that why sell something you earned and tried hard to get.

  • I wouldn't give a wooden nickel for all of the Olympukes and their medals combined.

  • 20K, LOL. Good luck Mr Clean. Looks like you'll have some permanent pawn shop decorations, at least till you close down due to unreasonable greed.

  • they should also once in a while show the items being sold.. then have a recap of how the item got to the pawn shop in the first place. Great show, my fav in history channel.

  • 0:38 he said ok weird

  • This is possibly the best TV show to come along in years.

  • 20grand and 10grand dude got them for at least 1grand hahaha its crazy

  • haha MKAY..... MKAY..... hey mr. garison

  • m'kay

  • Hmm k,Hmm K,Hmm k...You sound so Informal when you talk (RICKY).

  • Actually from what I've seen on the show, he probably paid close to 50% of the price he's selling them for.

  • @dogbert7693 sometimes they sell it for 5-10% and others 100%. the average is right around 30-40%

  • I am so impressed by how smart these people are! Image how large your general knowledge span has to be in order be a successful pawn shop owner. Plus the amount of stress on the gambles you have to make day in an day out! really I am amazed they aren't insane!

  • @BusinessEdgeRadio It's not a gamble when you royaly fuck everyone that comes through the door!

  • @jobo706 Yeah it is *lol

You dont know what shit is gonna re-sale for plus there is a ton of red tape they have to work with and limited real estate space then you got to deal with police the list goes on and on Fucking everyone that comes in only gives you a small advantage there is still a million headaches to deal with.

  • @jobo706 Knowones forcing them to sell their sh1t here. Personaly i would sell mine on Ebay.

  • i preferr winning my own olympic medals then buying it from someone else.. and you get it for free at the olympics..

  • A percentage of ten?? It's TIN ... Jesus ...

  • That's cool, but why the fuck would I buy somebody else's Olympic medal? Pretend like I actually won it?

  • What the who sells a Olympic medal? And why would i want someone elses medal.

  • Did anyone notice he said "k" two times like the guy from south park 0:34

  • @GhostUK99

    Ummm Drugs are bad Mkay..

  • The reason they are sold is because althletes dont get paid alot of money. Alot of them have to find the funds on thier own. People like Usain Bolt and Phelps will be fine due to ad money but If you win the gold in a non major event ( I.e Not the 100m) you don't get the ad money.

  • 20,000 rupees?

  • its funny how many times he says "ok"

  • im asking for battle toads.

  • I live in ATL i was born in 1996 :O

  • I... what? Huh??? Who on Earth would pawn a damn Olympic medal? !

  • @MapleMeringue he didnt pawn it, he just sold them

  • @MghtyMrphnPwrRngr

still, why would you sell an olympic medal that you won?

  • @foshooooooo So many athletes go broke when their playing days are done. Most have no real college or even a decent high school education so,they sell their medals to pay the bills.Bronze medal winners don't get endorsement deals, only gold medals are good for advertisers.

  • @flyboy13131313

yeah, but id imagine an olympic medal would be one of the last things i would sell, i would have to be quite desperate. but i guess some athletes probably end up in that situation =/

  • they were both won by americans, mmkay? Which makes them worth more money, mmmkay?

  • Interesting

  • lol

some rich ass dude should go in there and buy both the medals, the championship ring, and that death clock, haha

  • When he says "ten" he means tin right? ANd I'm not bein an ass, genuinely wanna be sure

  • @Fubs said ten but meant tin XD

  • win a bronze and end up selling it for quick cash?something really bad had to happen along the way

  • ...spent all that time & money training to win a Olympic medal...then you sell it to a pawn shop!...EPIC FAIL...

  • @SteveSabbai They didn't train for the Bronze.

  • @daedalx since third in the world is nothin special?
