100% right. He walked the line...nobody else...greetings from Germany. We walked the wall for 38 years ...Jonny will walk his line for ever....mihajlomakedonski
I'll just copy/paste the best comment of all time : When Johnny walked the line, Chuck Norris stepped aside
Today music is different in a huge way which hardly anybody ever talks about. Today, musical instruments and sound effects make up for the singers voice. Years ago the singers voice is what drew peoples attention, not necessarily the background noise.
@SoshoKittycat The "back up" guitarist you mention, was actually the lead guitarist, the late great Luther Perkins, later replaced by the great Carl Perkins(no relation)and then Bob Wootton.
I'm no as religious as i wants was, but I believe Johnny Cash was ment to do drugs and have all those other problems, to show us that we can over come anything. All and all it's because of June and those drugs to realize how important he was and he was and will always be a awesome person, and an even more awesome Singer. R . I . P J.R Cash. We miss you
@papadopilo C'mon, Cash himself talks about his drug addiction is his book and several interviews. As much as he is completely strung out here, he's one of the greats regardless of anything he did.
Did you all see that part @ 1:10? Now i know where Hendrix got his showmanship doing things with his guitar !!! I was wondering if Johnny would put the guitar behind his neck or pick it with his teeth!!!
He did not used drugs as some belive, he was in a period down, when he did drink a lot, thats all, and he know about drugs, but not adicted as many belive.
@papadopilo hahahahaa go away with yout stupid facts..he was addicted to them and took roughly 100 pills a day for nearly ten years and relapsed 3 or 4 times..go read a book or even watch an interview...
Johnny Cash was and is the greatest at being a badass. And so what if he did drugs, the majority of music stars eventually go down that road. At least he managed to find a way out of it.
Although he was on the amphetamines my fave era of Johnny are the 60's. He is so wired in this clip but yet he was at the hight of his career. I love the comment about him teleporting! LOL =) His voice is amazing and his hair is always intact
yeah man and so he got some stories to tell as we can hear in his songs. he just lived , living is a ride where we do mistakes and learn from it or just have a exciting history..we can look back so thats what he got..just listen to "like a soldier" he says "like a young man gets over his crazy days"... so we see :D
Man, he is wired to to the tits, ain't he? In control ... just barely. What is it Kristofferson said about meeting him for the first time around this period?
drumer rocks :))
