  • los yankis estan hechos concha

  • There should be a 'Z' channel for blanking the retrace lines.

  • record some part of game on 2 chanell audio recorder on PC(left&right headphone), and post that sound, so we can all watch it on our oscilloscopes!!!! PLEASEE!!! :P

  • cool

  • have you seen TRON the movie? XD

  • Those aren't retrace lines but they are blanking lines.

  • But does it blend? :L

  • Next time you switch off the roof lamp

  • That is just awesome... One of my favorite all time arcade games to boot!

  • That is so badass. I never knew this could be done on an o scope.

  • I never thought of playing a vector game like that on an oscilloscope. Nice.

  • Impressive, young jedi. We shall be following your career with great interest....

  • yes, but can it play crysis?

  • @KoreanMeatball Yes. But why would you want to play Crysis when you can play Star Wars ??

  • is it connected in the yellow video plug? i wanna do this too!!!

  • it's very good!!

  • would this work with xbox?

  • Battlezone would be awsome !

  • Use a scope with a Z-blank input to avoid the retrace lines

  • oops! Whatdayamean "oops"? lol

Nicely done. Score another one for the geeks!

  • WOW

  • You're my hero.

  • i run Visual Studio on my oscilloscope and develop software. My oscilloscope is also connected to the internet (broadband). I am getting 200MHz/s download speeds.

  • LMFAO

  • I managed to clock my oscilloscope to 350ultrabytes so i can watch HD porn on it

  • Actually, you need a pixel frequency of 148 Mhz to display 1920x1080

  • @tehmadcap I might be interested on it, hahahah

  • @mrbeanslefthandman Did you buy some hardware to generate the the interface or did you develope it yourself?

  • This is just plain far out

  • You should try the old vector game Red Barron by Atari. Also Battlezone. And Tempest.

  • By me a Red Baron, Battlezone and Tempest, and consider it done ! :D

  • @cobrachoppergirl Just send me the cabs and consider it done my friend !!! (I prefer Red Baron cockpit, but the cabaret is also nice ! :P

  • @AtariAndre42 why not use an emulator?

  • @cobrachoppergirl then ... ADVENTURE! gotta love the future windows mouse icon that atrari came up with years l8tr.

  • I want to try this when I find the original boards, a power supply, and a '50s oscilloscope (I like them better than digital and later square analog ones). It might not work as well, but fuck it, I will try it anyway.

Also, I too feel bad for the game's deflection circuits. Such an awesome game.

  • lol ! realy funny :D

  • wow that's pretty cool!

  • Very interesting and well done video mate! -cheers!

  • If you can get the Z output working with the scope, the retrace lines will go away. I think you may need a simple inverter-amplifier circuit to do it though.

Nice straight lines on that scope, must be a good one.

Star Wars was a cool game, really pushed the limits of XY technology. I feel sorry for the deflection circuits in the monitor :-)

  • Cool, I have to try this on my ping pong console :-)

  • That won't work because that's not a vector game.

  • @togst Won't work because that's not a vector game.

  • Classic Vector Games, and oscilloscope exudes coolness.

  • thanks :)

  • Love it! This has been highlighted at beforethedarktimesdotcom
