we can say "me gustaría una cerveza, un café, un chocolate...." "qué desea tomar? Me gustaría una cerveza" it's totally correct!!!! and by the way..I am a Spanish native speaker and a Spanish teacher. It's also correct to say "quisiera + the noun" directly.
glass es vaso, you never say me gustaria una cerveza, you'd have to say me gustaria tomar una cerveza. you need to have your facts right before you teach others!!
