I just saw this a few days ago Gina :L I thought it was entertaining but not entirely great. I thought the ending where he flew toward the sun was abit to easy, you're telling me nobody thought of that but him? Also I would've preferred a massive fight of all green lanterns to kill the Galactus impostor cuz that's what it was right? Also is there a sequel coming since they made that FEAR RING? Good luck franchise :p

@dreamslides Yeah, I thought Sinestro was pretty lame for only bringing a handful of lanterns to fight battles when he had 3,000+ at his disposal but apparently they were all so uncreative that they would have perished so....oy.

I'm a Lantern fan so I'll probably still go check this film out. Almost every review I've heard more or less sounds like yours: not a bad film, but not fantastic either. To be honest I'm still a bit surprised Warner/DC even made a stand alone GL film considering they have Superman and Wonder Woman at their disposal and people have been virtually screaming for new films of those characters.

I agree that it wasn't that great. So far it's the weakest of the superhero movies this summer. X-Men and Thor have been much better. It was an enjoyable watch, but ultimately a letdown.

@nuwandaDalton Yeah, it's the low superhero on the summer blockbuster totem pole. Hopefully Captain America takes it back up again.

@ShadowGunner82 It's ok to be sick of bad superhero movies. I still try to hope against hope that every superhero movie I go to will be awesome...until I see it. Some are still great, but it isn't easy to do.

@martrix3015 Yeah...they love attention. I kept getting requests for more kitties so I didn't try to stop them, but if it's getting distracting, I can ask them to scale back their interference. ;-)

Smokin' Aces and Definitely, Maybe showed me that Reynolds can act. I love him. I will still catch this at the cheap theater. This does sound like a plot mess. But have you ever read comics? Monumental mess.

@tetsubo57 Good point. I didn't used to be a fan of Reynolds because so many of his roles typecast him as...an asshole. When he's gone away from that type of role, he has been a lot better. I think he had trouble walking the line here. The Marvel movies for the most part have been better about incorporating comedy into the story.

I definitely liked your review. I was disappointed that you did not enjoy the movie as much as I did, but you did raise some good points:

@TheTick900 The main villain parralox should have been explained better since, in the comics, he is a parasite alien who inhabits other bodies.So basically, Parralox was possessing Hector through the fear toxin. This probably will be explained much better in future sequels.
