  • Very nice movie, perfect work guys!!!!!!! (wow I was about to cry in the very first scene:O !!) Just... WELL DONE!!!!!!!!! Greetings;D

  • Not bad, thing that took me out of it was that she was standing for awhile after getting shot, which ya know, if your paralyzed it doesnt just creep up on you lol, but good still, wasnt like you were going for an oscar

  • 3:12 LOL That's a Grant Morrison Sketch for Arkham Asylum: Serious House on Serious Earth!

  • can you please go into voice acting jobs so you can do the joker voice for next batman arkham series since mark hamill is retiring

  • wow great acting. you guys should honestly send this to a film festival then if you win anything to a film publisher

  • @SakkaraStudios101 Thank you very much for your kind words! We had a lot of fun working on this project back when we were in High School and it received a great response from our peers. As far as Film Festivals go I don't think it would be possible to submit because we have two copyrighted songs in the title sequence. But you never know we might re-make this in the future. :)

  • what i meant was the bottom paragraph to the top

  • read this from top to bottom! please!

  • friend, his friend didnt dare make the leap. y'see... y'see he's afraid of falling. so then the first guy has an idea...he says 'hey! i have my flashlight with me! i'll shine it across the gap between the buildings. you can walk across the beam and join me!' b-but the second guy just shakes his head. he suh-says.. he says 'wh-what? what do you think i am? crazy? you'd turn it off when i was half way across!

and the weird thing about this is, the joker and batman start laughing...

  • @MegaRedfox101 Well the basic of that joke IMHO is that Batman has just made this offer to Joker

"I don't know what it was that bent your life out of shape, But who knows? Maybe I've been there too.

    Maybe I can help.

We could work together. I could rehabilitate you. You needn't be out there on the edge any more.

    You needn't be alone.

We don't have to kill each other.

    What do you say?"

The joke is that both Batman & The Joker are both damaged psyches completely beyond any help.

  • @MegaRedfox101

Cont Joker sees that they are almost two sides of the same coin, even though Batman doesn't, until Joker tells him that joke at the end Although that's just my opinion, I've got several comics friends who completely 100% disagree with my interpretation of that last bit of The Killing Joke.

  • this is the joke by the joker maybe not the killing joke but the strangest one:

"see there were these two guys in a lunatic asylum... and one night, one night they decide they dont like living in an asylum any more. so they decide there going to escape! so,like, they get up onto the roof, and there, just across this narrow gap, they see the rooftops of the town, stretching away in the moonlight... stretching away from freedom. now the first guy, he jumps right across with no problem. but his

  • @Joker7399, nice piece, can you share the song with me? I like it.

  • hi, please tell me, what is the guitar's song???

  • @dchumpitaz the song was an original song made by one of our friends. :)

  • Dat acting.

    Dat acting.

    No.

  • Really stupid.

  • very Impressive! you did a wonderful job on this.

who ever played the Joker. You Were spot on man!

this realy great! Good job and keepm fucking Comein!

  • Fake

  • Is this the real movie cause it looks like you did it yourself with ur m8s and ur girlfriend

  • @AltonClanProductions its only the first part of the three. i did this more than 3 years ago in high school.

  • Terrible, just terrible.

  • Great work !

  • I like it. Don't worry if it's not a full adaptation. If it was then you might aswell read the comic. It's okay to make changes as long as it still holds the same spirit at the source material.

  • The execution is a little shabby (acting, wonky video camera work, low sound etc.), but the pacing, the scene setups, even the choice of music are very professional. I suppose I'm complimenting the screenplay, but I'm not really sure.

Anyway, the best compliment I can give this video is that, even with the amateurish elements, it kept me watching, compelled all the while. And that is with knowing what was going to happen.

    Good job.

  • The acting is terrible. :I

    A for effort?

  • gordon was just sitting there while his daughter got shot? and the way she just sat after getting shot?! WTF!!

  • Whats with the porn music at the begining?

  • i hate to join the band wagen but work on the light and it could change the whole thing almost.

  • 2:10

how can commissioner gordon read in such darkness?

  • yo this is crap man! work on the audio, get some better actors, & focus on the lighting to make the picture look good

  • For a fan film its ok enough, but it really doesnt do justice to Batman

  • @Turko234 yeah. Or better, work with Aaron Schroenke.

  • not that this isn't :p I own the comic and I luv your sideo ;)

  • Nice video and Terry siad it was specatular lol

  • mmmm... can you do mad love too??? XD

  • @Lilith413 now THAT would be awsome!

  • U NO WAT I LIKE IT

  • Great job, 5 stars. Good respect for source material. Please check out my Batman: The Killing Joke adaptation. I'll post it as a video response.

  • pretty good, music is annoying though

  • Not impressed.

  • pretty damn good 5/5 , that novel is one of my favourites, nice job guys , you got yourselves new fan

  • thanks! We're glad you liked it! be sure to check out our latest work! :)

  • Thats how it ends in the novel, with Joker telling Batman the joke bout the two guys on the roof!

  • Ooooh mean Mistah J o_o I love it :D gonna be a fan forever. But why can't we have Jokahs like you in San Diego D:<

  • thanks! Stay Mad! :) hahhaha!

  • i'm scared a little.

  • Was the blurriness an intended effect, YouTube's or your camera's fault?

    Anyway, great adaptation!

  • the beginning scene had a slight dreamlike blur filter. thanks!

  • 3:43 creepy joker laugh.

  • the alan moore graphic novel the killing joke i just finished reading it is another part to that novel or is that how it ends

  • Alan Moore should watch this! send it to him he would be proud.

  • if he didnt like the Watchmen movie, why would he like this?

  • We appreciate it!

Feel free to check out the rest of the film!

And good luck with your future films!

    :D

  • Lame. One day I will make a complete adaption!

  • It's interesting how easy it is to say something is "Lame" and doing something better yourself is much more difficult.

    Happy filming!

    : )

  • I actually knew that and I got the songs mixed up. I meant to say "House of 1000 Corpses." (embarrased laugh)

  • Glad it didn't slip past you.

  • DUDE! You used pieces from the Rob Zombie song "The Devil's Rejects" during the credits didn't you? That's not gonna slip past me.

  • It was actually from the beginning of the song "House of 1000 Corpses".

  • Its not the best acting....

  • Thank you for pointing out something we are fully aware of.

    :)

  • Defensive much? He was making a comment, unaware if you knew it or not.

  • cool

  • um, ok the main reason this is lame, is cause joker doesnt kill gordons daughter. shes batgirl. batgirl is killed by duela dent, two faces daughter. powned!

  • Who said she got killed?

  • It's not supposed to be the same thing. The creator wanted it to be a bit more dramatic, I guess.

  • shes oracle and batgirl. once she gets shot and paralized by the joker she becomes wheelchair bound oracle. READ THE KILLING JOKE.

  • Thank you very much for your mature comment.

  • You are such a retard. Is your IQ not high enough to string a sentence together?

  • awful.

  • for a paraplegic she could stand for a long time

  • This is great, i have been plannin on my own adaption of the killing joke book, but not sure now . This is awesome !

  • thanks! good luck with your film!

  • no worries thanks :) . I have a pic i drew and coloured in on photoshop on my art video on my youtube profile

  • LOVE the music!!

  • Well done, that changes from the graphic novel itself strengthened this. Loved it.

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!! que poca creatividad

  • Yeah, the girl didn't seem like she was actually shot, like how it took her a few moments to get onto her knees. Plus she didn't really act hurt. But other than that it was really good.

  • Wow, very cool. I like that the "sketch" of Batman was from the graphic novel Arkham Asylum! The only thing that bothered me was that some of the dialogue was hard to hear (something up with the mikes?). Other than that, amazing.

  • We're glad that you liked it! The sketch was actually drawn by the director himself. His signature is kinda visible in the image. Thank you again for watching! Please check out the other two parts! Enjoy!

  • oh man, that scene with the joker and barbra gordon always makes me cry , I remember reading the novel the first time , when I was 13 and I remember that , the version of the joker in the killing scared the sh*** out of me , great writing by mr.allan more

  • holly shit awesome!! You inspired me!

  • that was creepy. i loved it!!!

  • thanks for your comments! be sure to watch the rest of the three parts if you havent seen the others.

  • nice man XD!

  • this is awesome. im a huge comic fan so i have high standards. but this seems to really follow the actual book.

  • It was really good, I liked it. The only two things I had a problem with, was how the girl acted while she was shot, and I wish the joker looked a little more creepy.

  • thanks for your comments! Glad you liked it!

  • Well you guys are very talented, especially for someone with no formal training. Were are you guys located.

  • we're in san bernardino, Ca

  • Sorry, meant film school.

  • We actually don't go to film school and we don't really plan on going either. However, we are growing as a production company! We are constantly working on a project. Every year, we'll be submitting a film to film festivals across the country.

  • This is very good, what film do you go to?

  • Sorry,meant film school.

  • love it!

    :)(:

  • awesome... that's all I have to say!

  • maaaaan this sucked!!!...if alan moore sees this shit he would get a heart attack like i almost did. where was joker's Hawaiian shirt and hat?

  • Thanks for the criticism. If you had read the description you would've realized that it is "inspired" by Alan Moore's graphic novel and not "based" so of course things are gonna be different.

  • 2 seconds into it, and I'm already giving it 5 stars just for the Texas Chainsaw nod. *lol*

The ONE criticism I have though; I can't hear most of what Joker's saying. :( But otherwise, great.

  • Thanks! lol.

Check out the rest of the parts!

Oh yeah, we made this film 3 years ago...back when we didn't have good audio equipment.

  • Who is the chick the Joker kills in Gordon's house?

  • his daughter barbra

  • He didn't kill her, he paralyzed her.

  • is this a official movie?

  • its a student short film that i made. its 1 of 3 parts...please check them out.

  • already done

  • I read that comic book and all i can say is that you did an awsome job on this! well done

  • i think this is really good, ive only just finished reading the novel, so i thought id hit up youtube to see if there was any remakes or anything and lo and behold. also i liked all the little touches you added btw.

  • Thanks!

There is more to this twisted story.

Check out the other parts and let us know what you think.

    Thanks again for watching!

  • Hey Im going to buy this comic but is there more?

  • Yes. There are two more parts to this film!

Check them out and thanks for watching!

  • aswhome

  • Extremely bad acting EVERYONE nuff said

  • I didn´t like the girl who played Barbara, when Joker shot her she just stayed there, mute, she should have been at least kinda rolling in the floor for the pain,, look at the originsl graphic novel and you´ll know what I mean

  • this sucked

  • The Joker seemed to be acting like Jim Carey at the beginning and I dont usually criticize acting, but the girl was pretty bad.

The rest is awesome though and I loved some of the shots and cinematography...

  • Really great fan film. Killing Joke has to be one of the most important one off shots in the DC universe and you guys done it great justice.

    Congrats

  • thanks for your comments it means alot! check out the other 2 parts if you havent seen them...thanks again!

  • script could have been beter, acting was yikes but overall not bad for youtube. one thing i would love to see though if you are makeing this a series is how insane the joker actually is, i read somewhere that he gave coton candy with rat poision in it to a bunch of boyscouts, i would love to see that side of the joker somewhere. from one huge joker fan to the next good luck

  • Oh actually this isn't a series, it's a short film, but too long for YouTube. So we had to cut it up into 3 parts. Check the rest out!

    Thanks for watching.

    :)

  • why is the lighting soooo bad?!

  • lol they spelled joker wrong

  • where?

  • joker looks like marilyn manson

  • This is a pretty good film. I like it..

Joker is such a crazy bad ass.

    -Kitty

  • you know what else you won the worst actors of the year award find some better actors and the whole presentation of the film sux alan moore would be ashamed

  • wow. some people would give some constructive criticism but it's easy for you to give these guys a hard time. Hey news flash...ITS YOUTUBE! considering most of the videos on youtube suck, this was the most interesting fan-film i've seen. it looks like they put alot time into it. Oh and if you don't believe me watch the whole thing...there's 3 parts. I've watched like 5 times now. It still impresses me!

  • Comment removed

  • what do you mean this is not cinemax? please elaborate.

  • Sorry I was responding to another person and I accidently replyed to you. My bad!

  • no worries man! haha. it happens.

  • Glad that's cleared up!

  • its okay

  • This is pretty good! One little critique, though: Barbara should have fallen almost immediately after being shot. Remember that this is the shot that paralyses her.

  • yes i totally agree...the actress had a bad knee...and i wanted her to fall to her knees but whatever...i got what got...

  • Ah, okay then.

  • not that good actors, tho, but it's good.

  • WOW somone made a movie of this?? COOL!!

  • just some words...

music choices did not fit the situation,

you needed much more work on the makeup for the joker, who didnt really act like the joker from the Killing Joke.

so... it was an okay job.

  • that was great!

  • this is the best fanfilm i have ever seen great job

  • thank you very much!

  • Although Batman didn't appear in this film, this is the best fan made Batman movie on youtube. I loved how the movie was very dark and the gruesome eye scene was super bizarre. I also loved the performance of the Joker because he wasn't jumping all over the place and super maniac crazy, he was very calm in a way and seemed to be more of a tortured soul rather than an evil criminal mastermind. Anyways I rate this 5 stars.

  • Thanks!

    We're glad you enjoyed it!

  • Thank You! :D

Check out the second and third parts and let us know what you think!

    Thanks again!

  • Wow! Excellent filmmaking! And you did it all with Movie Maker! That's truly amazing. I was wondering one thing, though. How did you manage that awesome effect on the opening titles? If you wouldn't mind PMing me the answer, I'd really appreciate that. Again, excellent job with this.

  • Hey thanks! We edited this using a mixture of Movie Maker and Ulead Video Editing software. This was back before when we didn't know much. Now we use Adobe Premiere Pro. It just goes to show that anyone can make a film look cool with very little resources and cheap editing software. As for the effect, it was one of the effects of the software. I can't remember what the effect was called, but I'm sure it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Thanks again for watching! Check out the 2nd and 3rd parts!

  • Not bad, kept me entertained.

  • Not that bad. It was entertaining.

  • You know what would be really funny-If one of these Joker movies was so dark you couldn't see the picture! lol

  • this is the worst joker performance i have ever seen

  • Hey you beat me to it dude lol ! Check out my KJ trailer and the animated Batmovie "Terror of the Monk" on my site

  • this freaks me out!

  • Tiz gay

  • OK. I take back my negative comment.

I watched this again - and it actually is pretty good.

    Just to prove a point....

  • Not bad. Good work.

  • I thought you did this very well. The Music was awesome, the acting was great and i loved the cinematography. You captured the dark side of Batman and the Joeker within. Good job. I would be difficult to get the circus bit in but hey....that's how life goes. "To Prove a Point..."

  • why texas chainsaw massacare music in beginning

  • im probably goin to make an even better one

cause frankly this is really bad

    good effort though

  • Jealous much?

  • whats there to be jealous of?

  • This was atrocious

  • Just bought the graphic novel "The Killing Joke" by Alan Moore....awesome book!!

This was okay. Could of been better.

  • very good. The joker needed more make up though.

  • Don't mean to be too rude, pretty good work, but there was no exit wound on barbara, where it should have severed her spine.

  • bad lighting, bad acting, bad pretty much everything. if you want a good amature joker flick go to patient J (1&2) not a fan of the mix of new joker paint with no scars but its still better than this garbage.

  • hmmm...there were many mistakes, this could have been perfect. It was real good, and it kept me entertained but as i said there were mistakes (The door would stay opened and there would be light, then the front door would be shut) just things like that.

but it was alright, I loved how well the joker was played.

    Keep it up.

    -kitty

  • ok - 3 stars

  • i dont understnad anything thats going on

  • then you my friend are an idiot.

  • lol

  • Terrible
