for all of you who say this is cruel, you are wrong. This is great. Sure it would be better if the animal was in the wild, but it isn't! It was not born in the wild! If it is already living with a breeder or in a store, they will not be released. You might as well give it the best life it can have in captivity.
@aftpuser yes perfectly legal, although there arent many for sale ive seen two stores that had em here in las vegas. one store had 4 in a room sized area they weres for sale for 2,000 dollars american, and the other had 2 and sold them for 2,100 because they were babies.
@aftpuser It's not mine and the girl that had him moved away. You may have to Google it to see for each state. Here in Washington she purchased it from a breeder.
@Rockhell60 It's actually illegal under both US and Commonwealth of Australia Law to own one as a pet in either country.
The reason owners in the US are starting to get arrested is because it is illegal to export one from Australia and with the new trade laws between Aus and the US then it is a US crime as well. If you know of one being owned as a "novalty" report it to your authorities.
It is just some canned music from my iMovie program that came with my iMac from Apple Computer. It is called Jacarana and is not really a song, more background music.
@BlueSparkster there are different breeders, and ranches you can get them from. Just search it on google. They will cost you around 1,500 dollars for a regular grey wallaby
Hey, This is Rocky's mom! lol... I just stumbled across your video. I didn't know you posted it! haha. Well I am just now starting to post some videos of him. He has gotten so much bigger! Tell everyone at the paper I said hi. =) Also, keep an eye out for my videos so everyone can see rocky. I only have one up right now but I will be posting a lot more in the next month.
Hi! I wondered how you were. We would love to see how he is getting along. I will subscribe to you and then I won't miss his videos. Give Rocky a hug for us!
This is not my wallaby. He was the pet of coworker. He seemed happy and busy. He seemed to really like his owner and she loved him. He looked very active and I was scared to death he was going to get out. I'm sure he was quite a bit of work. I don't think I could do it.
Captive bred wallabies get that...if they dont it shows they dont have a strong immune system. I have a wallaby also i and i. Btw if ure asking becuase you want one dont they are very ahrd to take care of and a lot of work. I have worked with them. Just Get a dog.

it's theoretically legal in virginia... there's a breeder in Texas that offers them for adoption.
This I found out cause I figured "why not get an exotic pet" and wallabies seemed like a safe choice.
GloryofLlama 1 year ago
@aftpuser and yes they are trainable. you can even walk them, well no walk, but keep them on a leash.

Until she brought him in, I never in a million years ever considered this species a 'pet' animal. But it seems to work.
Rockhell60 3 years ago
I used to live with a wallaby. Do you use diapers on yours? I could never keep one on miss reggie, but was always told it was possible.

Is he happy living as a pet? Just wondering because of the patches of fur missing.
