Game runs smooth as far as i know now on Dolphin,been quite a while since this Video was made and some of the comments that recommend certain things.

Games runs on 30FPS anyways when you walk around then using doors /Inventory it goes up to 60fps on PAL it's 25/50fps and NTSC it's 30/60 FPS, ofc you can tweak it in dolphin so the PAL works the same as NTCS.

I found the way to remove the slowdown in the first room and other rooms with similar lighting. If youre using dolphin simply turn off "idle skipping" under options->configure. Dont ask me how this helps as idle skipping is supposed to "speed up" the emulator but not for this game. I tried it myself and I encounter little to no lag in the first room.

@Necroscope86 Listen to the wise words of dcshoes41. Apparently, there are not that many good REmake lets plays for one, as well as high demand for this game to be done by you. Although the high demand can be slightly outrageous, the choice to do this is ultimately up to you. I will warn you though, if you haven't already played this, you'll be scared out of your wits. big update folks when it comes to the Upgrade Necro's computer fund. With the donations so far, I am pretty much nearly ready to go for my Upgrade. After much deliberation, I am probably going for a Phenom 2 X4 970 Processor (I've looked at all options ie I5's Sandy bridges etc, but funding is limited), a new motherboard, and 6GB DDR3 ram. For the record, I am nearly able to afford, which coupled with my current GFX card, should make for a beastly computer. So thank you for all the help :)

Oh, one more thing: If you do decide to LP this, can I offer some advice? Designate frequently traveled hallways as "safe zones". Try to only kill/burn zombies in those zones or in rooms you'll never visit again. Use the knife - get behind them, but stay far enough away that they don't do a 180 and grab you, then take out their legs. Ammo and kerosene are scarce here, so you need to be more selective about what zombies you take out and when than in previous RE games. Good luck!

Necro, dcshoes41 is right, change graphics plugin from OpenGL to Dolphin 3D11, the difference is huge, game is going much faster with no slowdown even in the main hall!

This seems to be running ridiculously well. The graphics are absolutely AMAZING compared to the original and compared to a lot of other gamecube games. That just shows the power of the seriously underestimated gamecube.

In my opinion the most stunning bits I saw was the lights, the fireplace and the candles. All things to do with light are just crazy.

I agree, as much as I like the other resident evil lets plays ive seen them all before and played them all before - this however ive never played or seen others play.Its fresh and as people have said it's new and different (the layout of the mansion, traps, etc)

I'd happily put up with the slow down parts, gives us time to look at the graphics and take in the atsmosphere lol ;)

I'm probably being Captain Obvious here, but perhaps the reason zombies walk with their arms out in front of them is to feel around for their victims. Since their eyes are glazed over and cataracted, they are likely blind. Awesome that you are re-doing Resident Evil. I tried to play it once and I was lunch in five minutes.

I reallylike this game! i didnt know the graphics looked so much better on Gamecube, yet its still classic Resident Evil. I don't like the new xbox RE game even though the graphics are good. I'm glad i was shown this. Anyways i really enjoy watching you play the RE games. @Necroscope86 I've had so many problems with running this game successfully and searched all over. I finally did find how to get it running perfectly. The cutscenes run seamlessly and the rooms experience no slow downs at all. The only problem is the music cuts out sometimes but thats manageable. Unfortunately, the link to the site that had the info is down however I saved everything I had in terms of the configuration. Here's my configuration setup I hope it helps!
