  • God I miss those Cavs teams...

  • Fantastic player!

  • He's my uncle no joke

  • @R2MxHaVoC Nice to meet Mark's family! Send me an e-mail. Mark is my greatest player ever!

  • he is just like Jimmer Fredette, strikingly similar

  • @bigjuicydick The only thing those two have in common is their skill with shooting the ball. Fredette is easily one of the BIGGEST ball hogs of all time. How dare you compare the great Mark Price with this piece of trash a.k.a. Fredette.

  • they took out hand checking. it's never been easier to play offense as a perimeter player. those arguing mark wouldn't be superb in today's league are wrong.

  • NBA JAM - for three, YES

  • Nowdays NBA isn't better than 80's and 90's NBA, so if Price was a star back then, he would be a star today too.Great player, so intense and talented.

  • one of the best players to put on a cavs uniform if not the best

  • absoletely terrific video quality

  • represent!! Enid, OK!!

  • lol if lebron had this guy, the number of championships.... ridiculous

  • God imagine if he had D Rose athleticism! This guy makes me proud of Cleveland sports. Even though this is 20 yrs ago!

  • underated are you kidding me...jordan said he was embarassed becouse they said he was the greatest to ever play the game...you had john stockton ron harper the glove and more....if you ask me he is perfectly rated...

  • def one of the most underrated players in history. If he didnt get hurt he woulda had the great stats. he prolly wouldnt have one a championship cause Michael Jordan but he would have been top 5 PG's alltime. To me he was better than stockton, kidd, jackson because he had the ability to take a game over by himself unlike them 3 guys

  • Defender PWNED @ 2:31!

  • Sick white boy! I remember watching him school everybody during the 1994 3 point contest. I was 8.

  • Kids today don't realize who mark price even is or how freakin great of a player he was. One of the Top shooting guards to ever play the game. Damn i miss watching him school people on the court

  • Fav PG

  • I miss those days!!

  • 2 people hate white people..

  • Mark Price is the man... he signed my gym bag and had good things to say to me.

  • he needs to be in the hall of fame. i bet the only reason he isn't is because hes a cavalier

  • @samtheman7975:

No, it's because his numbers were good but not great (career average 15.2 ppg, 6.7 apg). Had he stayed healthier longer and been more productive longer maybe he's in the discussion but he falls just below the line. And yes, if he had led his team to championships maybe his numbers don't matter quite so much but he didn't. If he goes in then so should Kevin Johnson, Mark Jackson and other very good but not quite great NBA point guards from that era.

  • How can he be underrated, compared to the other playmakers of his era?

  • he reminds me exactly of steve nash

  • he was a way better shooter than john stockton. probably the best pure shooting point guard to play that position. very underrated and never got the props cause he played on a cleveland cavs team that had to play the bulls and pistons all the time

  • @JPuReTaLeNt Excellent point. THE most underrated player of his time.

  • mavs just did not what they was getting

  • @jkhkak47 he was on the cavs not the mavs lol

  • @dekarispp mavs trade to cavs

  • @jkhkak47 oooo okay makes since

  • if he just win championship but because jordan was killing the east it was so hard to win

  • Just found out about this guy through nba jam and god damn did he have moves! is he a PG aswell? His like a steve nash on steroids!

  • He is the most underrated player of all time, he should be in the top 50 list

  • might I add one of THE purest strokes and my favorite all time point guard (Tim Hardaway and Gary Payton come in next respectfully)

  • I forgot just how good he was. I miss watching players like this.

  • a true LEGEND up here in Tha 'Land (Cleveland)....unlike LeQuit

  • what a stroke

  • Nowaday's NBA players had better learn fundamentals from Mark Price .

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe the most underrated Point Guard / Shooter in NBA history

  • @Ekel90 : how's he underrated?...intelligent fans knew how good he was.

  • @imsljr420

I guess that not everybody/fan is intelligent ;)

  • i love playing with the 89-90 Cavs on NBA 2k11 and using mark price

  • @ut51uga33 Ditto... I also dropped 125 pts with him once on NBA Live 95 back n tha day... lol

  • this damn suicidal music ruins the highlights.

  • THANK YOU for not ruining these highlights with hip-hop (rap) music.

  • Depressing as f*ck song hahaha... wish it was ball song, like Don't Sweat the Technique by EPMD instead.

  • One of my favorite videos of Price is during a game against the Bulls were he just embarrasses a young B.J. Armstrong. They ended up losing the series but Price dominated Armstrong.

  • Mark Price is my favorite player. Definitely underrated and a very cool guy off the court too.

  • Cleveland's best point guard.

  • @catonic ever

  • His release is improbably quick and his shooting form simply perfect. Nice.

  • the pass at 2:24 is ridulous (through defender's legs)

  • i still find is surprising he was taken in the 2nd rnd of the draft. wow.

  • Was not underatted just was broken down by the bulls like most good players of that era. Like shawn kemp did as well.

  • mh.... the next? I think that the cavs will remain out of the playoff for loooong time.... sigh...

  • That was the best cleveland team ever

  • @ebastadammeneuno Look forward to the next season, mate. The "BEST" Cavs team is in the future. If that´s not the case, then the franchise should smoke its own ashes in a big, fat joint...

  • i hate bad highlight music.

  • Does the city of Cleveland remember Mark Price, Brad Daugherty, Larry Nance, and Craig Ehlo?

At one point in time (for those of the few basketball fans), the Cleveland Cavaliers had 3 (or maybe 4) players on the Eastern Conference All-Star Team, in which a couple of those players could be future Hall of Fame(rs).

  • @lmorganjr yet they didnt win the championship

  • @jokershoe23 Lots of amazing teams did not achieve the freankin´ ring... And?????????????

Only stupid fucks measure success with the "win the championship" predictable idea. Only one team per year does it, understand? So, the whole "champion" team is formed by "All stars -or- Hall of Fame" players? NO! It´s an insult to BASKETBBALL (and your intelligence) to think otherwise. Watch the damn game, man... Then, you will learn something...

  • @jokershoe23 Yeah, has a lot to do with Jordan there. They aren't the only unfortunate victims. Ewing and his Knicks, Miller and his pacers, Penny and his Magic and Zo and his Heat had to deal with his Jackson and the bulls.

But if they were around now, they'd sweep the LEASTERN conference of the last decade even without Lebron.

  • :56 OMG, are you kidding me?!

  • Mark Price was the man...

When the two numbers I wanted in high school (9 & 27) got taken one year I wore 25 because of Price...amazingly enough that was my best shooting year I ever had...I went 90.3 % from the free throw line that year too.

  • Mark Price was the man...

When the two numbers I wanted in high school (9 & 27) got taken one year I wore 25 because of Price...amazingly enough that was my best shooting year I ever had...I went 90.3 % from the free throw line that year too.

  • Now, more than ever, The Greatest Cav Ever. Eat it, Bron.

  • @docdaytona108 lol im just not gonna say anything

  • Played on a higher level then Nash ever did.

  • I wore #25 for Mark Price

  • VeoShock, sometimes I try to just remember what precisely it was like just before I could dunk the ball. Just after I practiced the training course program at 50inch vertical[dot]com - my skills has been improving dramatically I'm not a bench player anymore!

  • Mark Price one of the best point guards of all time Top 20 for sure

  • da white boy was nice wit his!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mark Price was better than Steve Nash but was never given any respect

  • @kevinpever Exactly Steve Nash 8 seasons with handchecking 11pts 5 asst a game, after handchecking abolished 17 pts 10 ast

  • @kevinpever I guess due to injuries but its rather hard to be great when every point guard is putting similar numbers, playing defense and helping run the team. Also playing in the East meant dealing with Jordan in the playoffs. But I never was surprised with the Steve Nash craze when I could remember efficient point guards like stockton and price in the 90's. The former could also play defense as well.

  • underrated shooter

  • he had created his own basketball play style and i like that

  • Mark Price rules!

  • mark price would kill any point guard today real talk

  • @jmaal2345 not in europe

  • i actually know him and his son. this is the first clip ive seen of him playing though. i never would have expected that he played so energetically and crazy like that because he's so chilled out and relaxed now haha. he can still shoot like crazy though.

  • so this is where jason williams gets his game from

  • go white boy

  • What a fucking idiot. "White boy" will soon be as politically incorrect as "negro" is. White men need to stop letting other races make us feel guilty about shit we had no part of and to say what they please as we have to choose carefully what words we use. Im tired of the double standards.

  • whens the clan rally man?

  • @sdidotnova next week at your house probably.

  • one of the more underrated players of this era

  • @stymee216: the *most underrated players of...all time

  • @saultbauls I COULDNT AGREE MORE. HE IS BETTER THAN STEVE NASH!!!

  • @stymee216 Maybe today but during his prime many regarded him on the same level as Stockton.

  • another great vid marred by annoying, bad music.... but still, thanks... love mr price!

  • ROFL honestly so much better than Kobe but he doesn't get any credit.

  • He's not better than Kobe

  • True. But you gotta remember about Kobe---he wouldnt be nearly as good if he was playing against NBA defenses in Mark Price's prime.

  • @jjonesl23233 this just isnt true. teams back then werent allowed to play zone.

  • @joes28 but the fact is they did, actually more true 2-3 zone, because big men were allowed to camp out in the lane no defensive second rule...and they don't run zone that much now, when they do, you'll see scoring rise...Suns just tried it on the Lakers and they scored 4 straight easy baskets

  • meaning the NBA defenses 15-20+ years ago.

  • Shame he blew out his knee.

  • @reddwarfposse When he came back he was still really good.

  • I actually rank him pretty high top 5 point guard of All-time.

  • @PJHunterTJ No. Im a huge cavs fan but he is def not. I can think of 3 better current point guards just off the top of my head. Paul williams nash

  • Think about this, He was ALL NBA FIRST TEAM in the 1992-93 season along with Jordan, Malone, Barkley and Olajuwon. Thats pretty good company and beat out John Stockton and a host of other great point gaurds for that spot. He's better than Nash..

  • Definately better than Williams, they are not even in the same class, The only one you can make a debate with is Paul... but he lacks the out side range and hasn't done that much in the playoffs yet. As for Nash, Nash is kind of like Price's younger brother so to speak.

  • 1) Magic

    2) The Big O

    3) Stockton

    4) Isiah

    5) Nash

That being said, Price's numbers are really amazing. His best years were very comparable to the best years from Isiah, Stockton, and Nash. However, Cleveland's struggles in the playoffs keeps him (just barely) out of the top 5.

  • I really don't think Price and the Cavs struggled all that much in the playoffs. They would play the Celtics and Bulls tough. Lenny had that team playing very well for about 5 good years. It's too bad that they lost Daugherty to injury though.

  • Believe it or not...Mark Price is the GREATEST 2nd round draft pick EVER in the history of Pro Basketball! I have seen him play and he was great to watch. Not to mention a well regarded Christian singer. Very nice video.

  • Mark Price very underrated. Imagine Ben Gordons shooting and Chris Pauls passing ability and you have Price.

  • @vcatequista So Steve Nash?

  • @vcatequista he was actually a much more consistent shooter than Gordon. Gordon is very streaky.

  • @vcatequista he was actually a much more consistent shooter than Gordon. Gordon is very streaky. His shooting form was perfect.

  • @vcatequista Ben Gordon wish he could shoot like Mark...Mark is easily 1 of the top 10 shooters of all time...Ben's not even in the top 200.

  • @JayPleezer304

uh wtf? lols yea eh not pauls passin kiddo lols not reallyc lose actually.

price was kind of like john stockton without the passing actually...

  • @vcatequista:

Price was much slower than Gordon and certainly Paul but not a bad analogy.

  • @zyxwut321 Much slower? Disagree. Maybe a half-a-step slower at most. He was very quick. But as you know, the white point guard always has an uphill battle for respect.

  • @bull864:

Gordon's lost a little in recent years so maybe not "much slower" now though as a younger player Gordon was very, very quick. I do agree that Price was definitely underrated and underappreciated in his time and certainly afterwards. Still, I think he would have a lot of trouble in today's game keeping up with guys like John Wall, Chris Paul and Derrick Rose. He was one of those very good but not quite great players who we tend to remember with slightly rose colored glasses.

  • @zyxwut321 Yeah, Price isn't as quick as those players you mentioned, but he was a far superior shooter than those guys. He would still be a top five PG in today's game easily.

  • @bull864:

He was definitely one of the best pure shooters among point guards in NBA history. I just think his size (generously listed at 6' with average sized arms and hands) along with his relative lack of quickness compared to elite point guards of today means he would struggle defensively as well as getting his shot off and getting his passes through tight passing angles and windows. A long quick two guard like Kobe could probably guard him & shut him down. He'd be effective, just not great.

  • @zyxwut321 Looked pretty damn quick to me. Easily a top PG in today's NBA. Plus, when you can shoot from anywhere size doesn't mean as much, and it opens up the court since the D has to play honest when you have a sick shooter.

  • @DoNotTreadOnME2012: He was. I remember seeing him play in person as a kid a few times and he was quick, though not as much as those highlights would suggest. Even in his era I remember he tended to get lit up by bigger and faster guards on the defensive end.

I still think he would have some trouble getting his shots and passes off consistently in traffic. He really was pretty small by NBA standards even then. Not to say he wouldn't have success. Just slightly limited. Like Jimmer will too.

  • @bull864:

He was also a more talented shooter than passer (not a bad passer, at times even creative) and was more of an undersized two guard though he had a point guard's mentality. He was probably along the lines of Kevin Johnson, a solid, top 5 point guard of his era but not quite the transformative player a great player is and just below a HOFer. It's also hard to tell because injuries took their toll early on. It's interesting because Jimmer Fredette seems to be very similar talentwise.

  • Only people who truely know Basketball

Can Tell you that Mark Price was a GREAT Player.

  • Mark was nasty back in the day........ shout out to Mark!!!!!!!

  • Second-best Cavalier of all-time after LeBron. Only Cavalier besides LeBron who could truly be called a great player.

As for the Price-Stockton comparisons... I'm not going to say Price was better, but having watched them go against one another in some great Cavs-Jazz matchups back in the day, there wasn't much separation between the two. In the early '90s Price was right up there w/Stockton and Hardaway as the best PGs in the NBA.

  • Favorite player of all time.

  • Definitely one of the most underrated guards in NBA history. Someone said it, let's remember he played in a tougher era before the Iverson no touch rule helped out the smaller quicker guards coming into the league. He was about doing what ever it took to win. Gritty player with excellent team offensive skills

  • UNDERRATED

  • I'm from Cleveland Cav's territory and was fortunate enough to see many games with Mark playing. He is a legend...he is still talked about around Cleveland basketball. Good days...good times!

  • yeah - pick a fight then can't finish it eh ? - you're a fucking pussy buddy - period...go fuck yourself.

  • john stockton, steve nash and mark price are the top 3 whitey point guards of all time. this guy was underrated.

  • racist ? - holy fuck - this is why youtube nation shouldn't allow uneducated kids to spew their vitriole - get an education fuckhead - there's absolutely nothing racist about that comment - to a moron like you perhaps - racism is a hatred or intolerance of another race - which usually manifests itself in discrimination, oppression or the belief that one's own race is superior to the other - there is nothing oppressive or discriminatory in that comment - you have alot to learn - stupid ass kid

  • dumbass fucking kids like you get my lunch everyday - and that's not even a joke - go back to your X-box and hanging out at the mall..fucking dumbass - you take an innocent comment ( btw i'm white you fucking mental midget )and cry " racism" without the foggiest fucking clue what that term actually means - and then step to me and call me dumb - you ignorant little piece of shit ?? go get me a bagel and then go play in traffic - dipshit.

  • and wow - what an intellectual fucking giant you must be - " ooooh - you're a cunt face - you're a pubic hair shaving homo " - huh ? pubic hair - cunts - you gotta a fascination with genitals there oyster meat ?? racist - hahaha - if i say Obama is the best black politician of all time - that make me a racist ? those are the best whitey point guards in history..nothing racist about it - you're a fucking joke - i'm done with you - go run a hundred metre dash in a ninety metre gym.

  • always some fucking moron somehwere that has to chime in - and it's always some fucking dumbass kid like you. what are you pulling in school chico ? straight fucking D's? - look up the definiton of ' racism " and then come up with an intelligent comment about how my comment can be construed as racist - this should be fun. was it unnecessary to add that they're white ? perhaps. does that make it racist ?? absolutely not - i'm a lawyer dickhead - and you're in WAAAY over you're head.

  • furthermore - while you're being completely fucking owned and embarrassed as to your stupidity - if i was to say that those are the top 3 point guards of all time - one could argue all day that that statment is inaccurate - to say that they're the best " whitey" point guards further defines the criteria to which the statement applies and enhances and/or strenghtens the argument - not that i was " creating an all white list" as you suggest..ahh fuck - i'm tired of writing - and you're a moron.

  • actually i'm not done with you yet - because you're immaturity and stupidity needs adressing - and since you stepped to me in a highly ignorant manner - you're education will continue. " Best " lists are often created and defined according to race - again - not that that was my intention - but to clarify it for a moron like you how it can be done without being racist - i'll point you to Ebony's list of the " 50 Most Important Black Women of the last 50 years "

  • now oh wise Rhodes Scholar and expert in racism and race relations - is Ebony's list racist ? can a comparison be drawn to a list that acknowledges the achivements of black women to a list of great white point guards ? There are no discernible differences Ebony's list ( and their are countless others - there's a similar latino list as well ) has race as one of the criteria for inclusion - I ask you again - does that make the editors of Ebony racist? For creating such a list ?

  • The answer - moron - is no - it does not make the creation of such a list racist in any way shape or form - white people, asian people, latino people - are not protesting outside of Ebony's offices with the claim that their list is " racist ". Race is sometimes used as a " differentiator ". Doesn't mean it's " racist ". Got it yet fuckhead ??? thing is - racism wasn't even close to what i was aiming for with that comment - leave it to a moron like you to spin it - get a clue dude .

  • i don't know if you're white or black - doesn't really matter - i'll give you an example either way that should clear it up with you - cause i know you're probly struggling with some of the concepts i've outlined - but i could say that " Gencbiba is the dumbest black guy i know " - or i could say that " gencbiba is the dumbest white guy i know " - now - you - because you're a moron - would likely see those comments as racist

  • however - anyone who graduated from high school - would see that that neither comment is inherently racist if the classification of your race is accurate - if you happen to be the " dumbest white guy i know " - the primary characteristic of you're stupidity is the focus - the " white " part is just an adjective that does two things - A) describes your race in an accurate manner - and B.) excludes other races from the statement...

  • this can be an important distinction you see...because while you may not be the " dumbest guy i know " - you very well could be the " dumbest white guy I know "- are you getting this yet fuckhead ???? see where i'm going with this ? i've used race here as a descriptor within the statement to clarify it and further define it - and wow - I"ve managed to do that without discriminating against or oppressing against other races !!!! WOW - hope you learned something today moron. take it easy.

  • where you at gencbiba ? still looking up the definition of racism ?? you still a moron ? inquiring minds want to know.

  • Comment removed

  • yeah-- you been fuckig owned clown-- not one comment on the actual topic and you're ridiculous completely fucking dumbass insinuation that i'm racist - jan you're a dumbass- go fuck your mother assclown..peace out

  • i hated c-town loved price dnot ever disgrace mark by comparing anyone of the jason williama to him he was a true floor general no one like him todat or last 10 years

  • PRICE = Legend of three points in the NBA and free throw!!!

  • hes like an old school version of jason williams! look at all those crazy passes!

  • Austin Carr -PF

    Brad Daugherty - Center

    Mark Price- PG

    Lebron- SF

    Mo Williams - SG

  • Not Mo williams BIngo Smith - SG

  • Austin Car at PF? Umm, Carr was like a 6-3 guard.

  • price is better than mo

  • No Nance??? or Ehlo...

Nance was a great defensive player

  • I love his stroke from downtown but anybody else notice whenever he goes in to drive he's always banking it off the glass? Fundamentals may be boring but definitely gets the job done with a highly efficient, no no-nonesense player like Price.

  • This guy was a problem in the 80s and 90s..like seriously he was very underrated...great point guard.

  • nice old school shot, beautiful. Nice fuckin vid by the way, perfect tunes.

  • a great underrated player looks like a stockton!i liked the cavs but bulls always beat them in the 90's playoffs

  • My All-Time Cavs Team

    C-Z

    PF- Brad D.

    SF- Shawn Kemp

    SG-LeBron James

    PG- Mark Price

    Unfuckingstoppable

  • Shawn Kemp was great. One of my favorite quotes of his came from his days in Cleveland. A reporter asked Shawn how much he weighed (he was getting real fat around this time) and Kemp came back with "I weigh 20 points and 10 rebounds." LOL!

  • I would make Price clones and put them at every position.

  • that was my alternative

  • I'd put austin carr in there and not Z

  • nice team - but i'd probly put daugherty at centre - and then have lebron at the small, larry nance at the power - and then throw craig ehlo at the 2

you're teams nice too tho - but nance has to be in there.

  • shit if the cavs had him now. lebron kicking out to price

  • his shooting motion is just flawless. Beautiful.

  • It was amazing growing up watching the Cavs during the Price era. Good fundamental basketball at it's highest.

  • there will never be another pure shooter like mark price ever again, his stroke was the absolute purest, if any nba player can get his shooting coached by price he should consider himself one lucky son of a bitch!!!!!!!!!!!

  • isn't he a shooting coach on the Hawks these days ...^^

  • amazing player right there

  • There's a play that I haven't been able to find. It was Mark Price tossing an underhanded (with both hands after doing a circular motion with the ball in his hands) no-look alley-oop pass to Ron Harper. That's one of the baddest plays ever and I've never been able to find it. Has anyone seen video of that play? I think it was against the Bulls.
