This is neat! One thing I notice is the definition of the themes and counterpoint in Vierne's work. This is a new but still traditional way of listening to this music. Very inventive!!
@CzarLyrus Google "IMSLP", click on "Composers" under "International Music Score Library Project(IMSPL) Portal", click "V" at the top of the page at "Contents", find & click on "Vierne, Louis", click on "Symphonie No.1 ..." and follow the download instructions ... have fun ... ;-D
@Alwaysapipedream you must love this organ quit a lot to keep it in this kind of shape! Keep on filming videos and uploading them fo the people that dont have something so amazing!
That's great. You will learn patients. The end result will blow you away. One can only hear this music with limited sound equipment. In my studio, you feel the music.
Thanks for writing me about your MIDI interface with your pipe organ. Yours is certainly a unique setup that blends pipes and electronics very well with the ability to play the entire setup live or from MIDI files. I enjoyed the MIDI performance of Vierne's Finale!
I've played the organ all my life (over 40 years) and can only say wow to your work. To heck with the few wrong notes. Listen to all the right ones please k25.
Very Good!!! we always look for traditional and no-traditional works, and yours is magnificient, I can see and hear a lot of work here, man, you rocks!!!
I like this. I've heard this work played on pipe organ, but with this rendition (and headphones) I can hear a lot more of what's on the upper manuals. I think the pedal reeds of a real organ along with room acoustics drown out the upper manuals; there's many more intricacies in organ music that what is often heard. At least that's what I found with the organ music I've played with on synthesizer. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Great rendition...would love to hear this performed with real instruments and perhaps even some more symphonic instrumentation. I would go back and check your transcription....there are a few wrong notes here and there.
This is amazing. So well done. Everything about it is wonderful, like, everything that downtown1961 isn't.

Is it really speaking? I can't hear.

@Zumipali2
It's a blend of digital equipment and the pipes. I have added a 8' Trumpet stop.

I am facinated with the pedalboard toe stub setup that you have. Nice performance by the way.

It's a quarter step==at least==to high and ugly.

@downtown1961
All the instruments used in this video were tuned to A 440. This sound is a bit stringy, I agree,,, but ugly?
Anyways, as will all comments, your input is appreciated.

Where did you get the sheet music? You'd think it would be public domain by now!

@CzarLyrus
I have the sheet music. For the life of me, I can't remember where I downloaded. It's in PDF format. I'll try to find it and send you a copy.

@Alwaysapipedream did you build this your self including the pipes?!
potamiag 1 year ago
@potamiag
I bought the organ and set it all up. The pipes were already part of the system.
Thanks for your interest.

This was a fantastic first attempt. A "few" notes missed is ridiculous statement - would like to here K25 play it.
