I prefer to use a certain part of my anatomy to accomplish the same effect. I use this part whenever I need to relieve myself, among other personal things. One can do so many things with one's arms.
@nanitaheart I can't mouth inflate and I'm not sure that I would if I could anyway due to the health issues but I first of all just used a cardboard roll from inside kitchen wrap, (very thick and strong) and a clothes peg to hold the balloon. An enthusiastic volunteer to hold it and you can make a curly balloon virtually for free. I now have a floor pump which means I can make curlies around my fingers just like a mouth inflator can. Cheers.

@nanitaheart it's idiotic. all you need is a piece of pvc tube. using a pump really complicates things. fingers work really well too.
