There has to be a plot as well. @bladerunner271 There wasn't all that much in the way of romance in this movie. In fact it seemed like there was less romance than in the first 2 movies. & I don't think Carly's ugly. She wouldn't have been a model if she was ugly. I don't watch action movies for any romantic scenes but I don't think having a few romantic scenes in an action movie takes away from the action.  Dempsey played the villian in this movie(which I think was a bad movie on Bay's part)so I'm glad she wasn't his girl.

The betrayal was fine, because if we didn't have one, it would be a typical autobot stomp decepticon. The problem with the betrayal was the suddenness and Sentinel needed more development prior and after the deed.

Coupled with how Sam actually had to do some detective work to find what the Decepticons were up to, as opposed to having an Autobot just explain halfway into the film, and you got the best of the trilogy.
