Being older .. at University.. I can relate, lolz...
I do wish these stereotypes were not so true....If I had to be one, I'd definitely be the shy one!! The "lad" one is everywhere and annoying as shit. Hate having to endure the torture of their conversations sometimes ...
Although, since i study at University of technology I can say that I only met the "guy friendly" type of girls ;p And speaking of man, choose your stereotype - and there he is!
I'm probably more like the indie stereotype. But which one are you Laura? The one that shows no insecurities and learns from everybody else's openness in social events? Peace :)
Haha, it's so true! All that's missing are the super keeners/perfectionists who want to get a perfect A+ average and get in med school early. And who brag about studying for their MCATs in first year.
I've managed to battle the whole 'omg you're so old being fourth year' by completely avoiding student areas and hanging out with other fourth years. Watching this video reminded me how annoying I was in first year, despite not really matching any of stereotypes properly. I hate freshers xD
Fun fact though, the people from London who overemphasize their accent usually die in Manchester. I spent a fair while trying to hide my accent in first year. Trufax.
I'm probably the shy guy but those friends I am really close with (guys and girls) know me as a lad :/. Oh and being from uxbridge which is in west London I guess I automatically fall into that category as well.
I'm going into my 2nd year of BSc Business administration and marketing (since when was that a science BTW) at Kingston poly :)
Didn't realise i needed points for Uni, they neglected to explain it all to us when i was in high school so i was none the wiser. No fresher stereotype for me. ^_^
in my first year of my bachelors degree i didn't meet anyone because the classes were in groups of 500 at least and it's really scary to go up to someone if it's that big of a group, so i don't know if these people were there ;)
now i'm in my first year of the masters but most of those fall into the 'i know everything about everything check how smart i am look at me namedropping famous researchers' category ;)
Haha, my sister is totally "the really nice girl that's just a bit too delicate for University". She doesn't drink, and she bakes cupcakes all the time. It's adorable, really. :)
Being the shy nice guy is ok, I developed a small group of friends but being shy really does mean you have less developed social skills which mean you get stuck in the rut. Well Undergraduate study finished getting ready for a masters. Good luck in your 4th year.
