  • This is the happiest the Technodrome has ever been XD

  • @jons44

    @NohjAnec

If you thought the NES music for Back To The Future was annoying

    THINK AGAIN!!

  • After seeing this crap, I WILL NEVER TALK SHIT ABOUT THE NES VERSION EVER AGAIN!

  • You can't really take the final battle seriously with that music going on.

  • This music makes me happy like a barney soundtrack!!

  • The music makes me feel like im watching a bloober reel XD

  • this shit is god awful

  • Eeeeeek. The music is probably the worse thing on the planet - it sounds like a weird rendition of the TMNT theme. Maybe the creators of this game didn't have the rights to it?

Sound effects sound strange. The hitting noises are like someone bashing two pieces of silverware together.

  • DOS version?

  • I'm starting to understand how some people think videogames make people violent enough to grab a gun and shoot everybody.

After just 4 minutes of this song, the horrible gameplay and that disaster they call an epilogue I am beginning to feel the same urges.

  • did the shredder explode? wtf...

  • Comment removed

  • after watching this that horrible music keeps looping in my head

  • Did they even TRY with this game? Graphically, this game does beat the NES version, but the NES stomps it flat in the music and sound department!

  • shredder looks like a kid! lol

  • Haha, man the guys making PC ports back then didn't even try xD

  • So did this music loop from stage 1 to the end like Ghostbusters NES?

  • the nes version was crappy to the arcade game...and this is crappy to the NES version

  • the nerd should review this lol

  • NES port > than this piece of crap

Yes even the graphics look bad, they skip to much.

  • The looping music makes me want to puke.

  • Oh man, I love how the Technodrome explodes and it just keeps playing the same happy barn music, it's almost like Monty Python in terms of madness.

  • Those shredders look like kids.

  • This looks like a kids game.....

  • This port clearly sucks.

    Seriously? Dash dancing?

  • This is horrrible. Nice Video Though.

  • 0_0 WHAT A SHIT

  • Wow... Are you fucking serious? This same fucking theme loops from begining to end in this game?!

WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING!?!

  • One thing always confused me was the name of the scene. Scene 5: We gotta find the technodrome!! And when you start playing the scene, you're already there.

It should have been named "Scene 5: We found the technodrome!!"

  • What the Heck?!

Krang exploded and three Little Shredders appear on his place.

    This is a strange port.

  • This is what hell sounds like. Repent for your sins now.

  • OMFG THIS SUCKS!!!

  • After a while...the music just makes me laugh. I don't know why. Haha.

  • Wow...

    That is all...

  • The music background in this version is horribly stupid

  • Lol, those Shredders look like Rick Moranis in the Star Wars parody: "Spaceballs"

  • Shredders: "Because good is DUMB!"

  • Imagine being sentenced to life in prison...they give you the coldest, dampest, mustiest cell they have...and for 24 hours a day, for the rest of your natural life, they play THIS music. NON-STOP...until the day you die.

I've sat through it for just a minute and i'm thinking about suicide.

  • hahaha now this is where you can appreciate being a console owner in 1994 instead of one of those DOSSERs, although I had both a 386 and Consoles to get all the gaming greatness.

  • DOO-DOO DOO-DOO DOO DO DOO!!!!

  • Too weak bosses!

  • this port would have been decent if it wasnt destroy by that horrible turtles tune, they should of just play the level theme 1 song during the whole game that would of kicked ass.

  • lol the shredders

    3!!!

and they look like shit too! xD

  • this is some of the funniest poo ive ever seen in the past month..

  • what is this POS

  • Instead of waterboarding, sleep deprivation, or whatever secret torture methods the CIA/NSA uses, why not just use this music?

  • This is an insult.

  • i cant take over a min of this music

  • I COMPLEATLY AGREE

  • Fuck this music!

  • 0:57-1:49 what is leonardo doing?!? O_O

  • This is completely dreadful. I always thought the worst ports would be NES but wow.

  • Omg, this is just ridiculous :D

  • Along with everything else, that battle with the Shredder(s) is just god-awful. I can't help but laugh as they just appear out of nowhere from Krang's exploding body and then march in a single-file line whenever they follow Leo.

And yes, they do look like maids.

  • way to take a classic arcade game (one of the best multiplayer beat 'em ups of all time) and turn it isn't crappy looking (and sounding) cheese! argh. this game doesn't get enough credit. thanks for posting it though, you have the patience of a saint to get through the whole thing!

  • What the hell? This is just an abomination! I mean some people complain about the NES port, but this is completely unacceptable. That annoying crappy music would drive me insane before level 3! I

  • @Thorgin84

Friggin True.... I mean, how many times can you listen to the same 8 measures before you want to become an hero?

This looks as if no effort was made with porting it over! The NES version was atleast made fun. This half-hearted attempt was just a cash-in to those that thought they completed the port.

  • What a pile of fecal matter. The music isn't even the right tune? It start's to sound like it and then it carries off into some other tune...

  • This music makes me crack up for some reason lol.

  • The Arcade version mops the floor with this unbelievable piece of junk.

  • disgraceful music

  • This port blows...the NES port is way better.

  • stupid music, is that even something to do with the turtles ?? wtf

  • hey in the new remake they made the same with the music. ironic

  • this crap, you can see the developers were "enjoying" making this game...

  • I can see why I've never heard of this version. Yikes.

  • 3 Shredders? WTF Also the music is horrible. Terrible port. The NES version is the best

  • WTF??? Shredder looks like a maid in apron with Shredder's helm...

All he need is a vacuum cleaner or a duster. 0_0

  • This can't be real. I had no idea that this absurdly terrible version existed.

  • BARF

  • That Musics Gay!

  • I got this game.yay!

  • what the hell?

how do i get this game?

  • The people who came up with the brilliant idea to use the same fucking annoying music loop through the entire game, even during the boss battles and after you beat the game, should have their brains removed and replaced by coconuts.

It's like a bad acid trip.

  • skalberg242, they probably already DID have their brains removed and replaced with coconuts while they were developing this wretched port of the game.

  • Hahahaha!

    Excellent comment!

  • I used to own this game. Worst TMNT game ever. 1 button. Terrible graphics, music and control. Manhattan Missions was awesome though. :)

  • the music sounds too "benny hill" like for this game lol

I can just imagine the foot soldiers running around frantically while leo chases them and so forth. :P

  • Yuck!

  • The graphics are closer then the nintendo one. But what's with the music?

  • holy fuckin shit bannna, what the fuck happened to it.. they broke a wonderful game

  • LOL!! FAIL!!

  • what the fuck O.O its like the game with a barber shop Cortet doing the music

  • Comment Of The Year Award!!

  • what the hell i neever seen or played this version

  • lulz, you and me both

  • When you get the pizza its sound like someone blowing a wet fart eww

  • 0:56 Apparently the turtles digest rather fast...

  • Haha, your comment made me laugh my ass off

  • This game looks better than the NES version but that music is awful and all that flicker on the screen.

  • Yeah, this is par for the course in bad DOS ports. You think this is bad you should hear the Street Fighter II port.

  • the music is indeed LOL worthy.

  • ok... this is pretty fuckin gay

  • Well, at least it has the visual quality...

  • Wow does that look stiff....

  • haha loving the music for the shredder fight

  • This game looks assy...

  • Wow, the music is so freaking hilarious! I kept thinking this stage was in a barnyard whenever I wasn't looking at the screen.

  • Ha! That's certainly an apt comparison. :)

  • @ScrunchyFundoshi LOL, yes it sounds like pigs are having a party! at 0:56, i sounds like that soldier is laying a fart. lmao!

  • Out of curiosity, does this version include the two "bounty hunter stages" (w/ Shogun and Tora) like the NES port? If so, it would be interesting to see how those look with the better graphics...

  • Alas, no -- those were NES exclusives. But you're right, seeing them with the improved graphics would have been interesting indeed! :)

  • @XSC3 the hyperstone heist (the dialogue for this game alas is probably the most unforgivably bad in the whole series), which was mostly based on the snes version of turtles in time, sports a level loosely based on the ninja palace, but Tatsu replaces the shogun android, lookup Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Hyperstone Heist 3-2 for a video which shows the part of the game based on it.

probably the only good level in the game

  • @hdofu I actually quite enjoyed Hyperstone Heist on the Genesis (I own it, along with TMNT IV for the SNES). I agree that it pales in comparison to the SNES game in most respects (the overall speed and dash button being the only improvements). still, it was a fun game, and had a little extra unintentional humor (like Rocksteady exploding like a huge bomb)

  • OMG... This music makes me think of the version on Battle Nexus. THAT version sucks. So do TMNT ('03 version) and Battle Nexus!

  • ouch

  • Traag took more hits than Krang?? It also seems (unless he's using a cheat) that the villains' attacks aren't effective!

  • Well, technically that jumping slash move is a cheat -- if you can get in really close and do it repeatedly, you'll be able to attack the enemy while avoiding injury. Without that, though, the villains' attacks are so effective that the game is impossible to beat.

  • Sounds cool! I've never played the DOS version before; it looks neat!

  • Except for the sound...

  • this DOS version really stinks....

  • Laughable music,ok graphics and........*music loops* *falls down on floor and can't get up*

    Make the music stop please!

  • So why did Shredder dress up three kids to look like him and made them fight the turtles instead of fighting the turtles by himself?

  • Certainly the better version of all released graphics wise but what can you expect, even the PCs of the time had better capabilities for color and resolution. Seems that it had a serious problem with control and animation though. Was it actually coded by Konami for the PC? like the NES version was?. Oh and that music was terrible MIDI music, this would have been used to conserve disk space. How many disks is this game?

  • The control really isn't all *that* terrible -- it's responsive enough, just pretty tough unless one uses the cheap jumping "special" repeatedly. It does say that it was coded by Konami, but I have no idea whether that's really true.

And the game is actually less than one disk -- it takes up about a meg on my HD. Those were the days, eh? :)

  • Krang seemed aroused by those attacks. Also, "milkshake" and "vaporized" shouldn't be in a sentence unless your in a Fairly Odd Parents episode.

  • oh,god i remember this one

  • Sadly this was a poor port of the arcade version. While the game layout was faithful and the graphics better than competing ports of the time, the controls and music were awful... the gameplay suffers greatly as a result. Too bad! Just a few years later pc's were capable of faithfully porting the arcade game. It's a shame that wasn't taken advantage of...

  • yeah and the whole system sucked too.

  • Hey, without the NES most of you PS3 an Xbox fanboys wouldn't be fanboys! Nintendo started gaming wheather you choose to believe it or not!!!

  • Well, Nintendo didn't start gaming, all they did was revitalize the console market in the late 80's. Atari did more to get home console gaming started in the early days, long before the NES came out. And the NES wasn't always the best system. The hardware certainly wasn't the best on the market, but Nintendo's strongarm liscensing tactics and huge marketing hype ensured it became virtually synonymous with video gaming for nearly a decade.

  • Graphics actually look a bit better than on the nes version. But the sound effects and music are horrible.

  • LOL 01:00... LOL. Sucks so much. Gotta love retro.

  • LOL BABY SHREDDER XD

If u got a 360 and microsoft points, download the Xbox Live version. Way better then this lol :P

  • What the fuck is that music? That is the most annoying shit since Back to the Future's for the NES. You would think they would have at least tried to put the music from the arcade in this and not this god awful shit I'm hearing now.

If the NES can do it (somewhat) then there's no excuse for this version not to be able to. The graphics look like shit too. They remind me of the early Sega Genesis titles...stick figure movements etc.

    What a piece of shit.

  • Welllllllll the graphics I don't mind so much, Shredder notwithstanding -- this is a pretty old DOS game, after all. But yes, the music is horrific. And bafflingly so at that, since they aptly included many of the NES tunes in the PC version of TMNT1! Ah well, what can you do. :)

  • That is certainly not the original music (the NES had the same tunes - of course it sounded different because of the different hardware), but this sounds like music doesn't fit at all and stays the same for every scene?

  • Yep, it stays the same throughout the entire game. It's maddening!

  • It's actually kind of a catchy tune. It would have been cool if they just used it for one level and went on to something else. As it stands I can see how it would be maddening to listen to it through the entirety of the game.

  • I CANT TAKE IT ANY MORE!!! *Exits*

    (I did this at 0:25)

  • I'm glad that you had used Leonardo

  • Haha, three kids in shredder costumes sprouted from Krang's android body.

  • Just a great game... such a disappointing port!

  • looks broken lol

  • This makes the nes version look like a masterpiece! Lol!!!

  • Terrible!! aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh! thankx for the upload.. I guess. lol

  • OMG, Shredder looks like a kid in this version

  • STOP THE MUSIC! MAKE IT STOP!

  • THIS WHOLE VERSIONS RETARDED!

  • LOL!!!!

  • that music SUX!

  • They could have at least made different tracks for boss battles and the ending... geez... would it be that hard?

  • Hear that music It's way too happy also, when Leo attacks why does he always move upward?

  • And I though the nes version was a little bad...Ha!

  • This isn't the nes version.

  • Couldn't stop laughing at Shredder, he looks like a kid.

  • This Version Of TMNT Arcade Looks Real Bland.
