  • Did anyone else notice how good he rolled up that baggie at the end? A true veteran!

  • I was told that if you ate bay leaves they would make you sick. Was this bad info or what? Can someone explain this or point me in the right direction for info? what says you bbq pit boys?

  • it's fiction dshedder1, Bay leaves don't make you sick. It's one of the most widely used and favored spices on the planet! -BBQ Pit Boys

  • Thanks for setting me straight on this matter.

  • I heard the story (urban myth?) about eating bay leaves. It came from someone eating unwashed leaves and getting some sort of parasite/worm from eggs that were deposited on the leaves. Probably just an urban legend, cautionary though, never eat unwashed anything.

  • ok i could never understand that if they make you sick why put them in stews or whatever to get the flavor out of them. What is in the leaf will be in whatever you eat when you use them but on the side of caution I never ate the just used them for flavor.

this makes sense. thanks for the reply!! See what a rumor can do, they mess with GOOD EATS!!

  • The Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece ate a bunch of bay - this was the secret of her visionary powers. Lots of bay leaves = massive hallucinations.

  • @dshedder1 I was taught if you eat the whole bay leaf it can cut your insides, but I think that's an old wives tale

  • @TheBestGuitarSoloEVR they are hard and somewhat sharp when whole. so i can see where they may have thought it may do that to your insides. thanks for the reply.

  • now i need to rub one out

  • throw out the KFC...thanks pit boys for the rub

  • Cool, I'm learning how to cook, and I wasn't sure how to try and make a Dry Rub but thanks to this video it's giving me some ideas now. Thanks.
