I love this style. Could you briefly explain the difference between this and someone like Jason Samuels Smith style which I admire of course but don't like the style?
@onlyoneme72032 I would say Jason's style (which I admire and respect greatly) leans towards more strictly rhythm tap, whereas Ryan's is a blend of rhythm tap and a modern take on traditional tap. They're really hard to classify. Think Jason's tap as pure hip-hop,and Ryan's as alternative-pop with a hip-hop back beat.
I'm more of a hoofer. I like improving this stuff up on a whim :) I did company tap for years and I just did not care for the group choreography stuff. Thumbs up for Ryan's appearance! I love his duo with Greg Russel to Harder Better Faster Stronger :D
I have 1 yr of tap under me and I can do this not to like brag but its just when I see someone better I do it till im better but there is alot I cant do still im guess im just good at choreography :(
@musictaps Really? That makes me feel better! As a student I was terrible at picking up choreo quickly. It's like my brain wouldn't connect to my feet in class! However coming up with choreo now for my advance students is no problem. Weird how the brain works. :) BTW--LOVE your style of tapping! Your video dictionary is super awesome and my students love learning so many different things. You're definitely an inspiration to all us teachers who want to teach more than cookie cutter tapping!

@gp680 Congrats on your quick progress. Being really good at choreography is a definite plus..I was terrible at getting choreography growing up.

If you can get it slow, it's only a matter of time until you have i up to speed. Good luck.
