Hisashi Tonomura IS a very accomplished guitar player. You don't get to be "lead guitar" in a band for 20+ years and not know what your doing. He is "playing" the crowd. Just watch Freeze My Love or Verb or like anything else and you can see how talented he is. How talented they ALL are :-)
Yeah, Hisashi's skills can't be judged by one solo that is meant to entertain the crowd. Like people have said, he really is a skilled guitarist and loves his talbos. I've heard just about every GLAY song made, and Hisashi IS AWESOME

Hisashi is actually a skilled guitarist. This solo isn't meant to be a display of his playing abilities. He displays that during the songs themselves. He's just having fun and exciting the crowd. His interest in guitars has always been more toward modifying them. He has many 1-of-a-kind Talbo models such as this one.
I don't know if that qualifies as 5 star guitar playing, but I will say he at least earned 5 for showmanship. The only way that could have been cooler would be if his guitar shot rockets like in Desperado
Couldn't say much about guitar skills since I'm no musician but someone better cast that guy in some sort of an epic fantasy film. He's too cool for words. Is it me or does he looked like some sort of underworld prince rising up to receive his minions roar? Damn good. I prefer Jiro's easy going, bright and cheerful demeanor but I cannot deny Hisashi is so cool. Thanks for uploading this!
