The sad thing about this is, that America isn't a Constitutional Republic and hasn't been since the 33rd Congress. In 1871 America became a Corporation aka United States Corp. . It would be nice to see if Sens. Lee and Paul would look at the "Act" that made this possible and repeal it. Or at the minimum let it be known so We The People of America (Not the United States) would do something about it.

Very refreshing to see a great statesmen such as Senator Lee defending our Constitutional Rights ! I applaud him for voting against the Patriot Act. We need to elect more statesmen like Senator Lee and Senator Paul in 2012. We will also need to UN elect those politicians that just talk about the Constitution, Tea Party, etc. and then go ahead and violate our Rights by voting for the Patriot Act. Michele Bachman being one great disappointment.

Chaffetz voted against it in the house. but he voted for it around 3 months ago. Keeps changin his mind on it. On the other hand, Hatch, betrayed us. He is all for it 100%.

@Origin305 Look into it a little further, and you will find why Representative Chaffetz voted for extending certain provisions of the USA PATRIOT Act. I don't agree with Representative Chaffetz on that particular vote, but he did have a principled reason for his vote in February.
