Roseanne can tell something's wrong with Darlene, and she genuinely wants her kid to be okay, but by ordering Darlene to act normal, she's guilty of not really doing what's best for Darlene, but rather trying to do what's best for Roseanne...she doesn't like feeling worry, so she tries pushing the cause of the worry away, rather than addressing the problem. It's like saying to a sick person, "Stop being sick." She's trying to fix the symptom instead of the disease. Reminds me of my own mother.

They did that because she was getting older. Not every teenager in the 90's or even today is like the Becky character. Some teenager's [Like me.] can relate easier with her, because we share either similar view's on life/friend's/clothes/music/seasonal depression.etc. And I mean real depression, not this emo shit.

I like Bonnie a lot too! She seems really real, and def. a realistic blue collar woman. I hate how shows try to have a blue collar character that is totally unrealistic. She really fit in well here. Plus, she just had a great deliver... Kind of low key, laid back type.
