We started our company in 1988 with four Bobcats. When the lease was up, we switched to the Cat 297 (seven total). We did not like the Cats at all. We turned them in and switched to the ASV100. (ten total) The ASV's are so stable, very strong, and you can't hardly make them get stuck. I do all the scheduled maintenance on time and to date, we had to replace one hydraulic hose. THAT IS IT! No breakdowns whatsoever! Plus, they're fun to drive, They make us lots of money.
ASV is pretty much a CAT but its a different body and Cab built around the Same Tracks and Engine.
Actually Cat is cheap. This RC-100 is $80,000.
The Cat 297C is around $65,000.
I'm going to my CAT dealer tomorrow hopefully and they had a 287C last time I checked. I'll be sure to take some video of it. Hope I get to drive it ,too!
