  • True talent...loved the skills, and loved the voice. That old Martin ROARS!

  • Hey Jim great playin and singing dude.

Sign me up for your CD.

  • this goes even further back than Merle - sounds like Mose Rager whom I believe played some with Merle's dad, not sure on that. i enjoy these videos , thanks again

  • great song, nice pickin but really the recording sounds horrible. Would love to get another listen to that Martin. Is it a 00 ?

  • Yes, it is a 1931 Martin 00H...and it does sound much better in person when not being video'd with an inexpensive digital camera. We're trying to convince him to do some more recordings and with some better equipment.

  • Some nice licks there, Jim. That condensor mike didn't do justice though. You put in a few Travis licks I forgot about. Going to play this at the next cowboy church in Cherry Grove MN.

  • Thanks for the kind words . Lastnight, I used some of those licks at Cowboy church on Mineral point, Wis.

  • Nice one Jim - enjoyed your playing and what a guitar.

  • That is fantastic, I like the sound of that guitar, my father use to play country music when I was a boy on our Tabacco Estate in Zimbabwe. I miss those days.
