@candr You know, they should send something specifically for aliens, or as a time-capsule for future human explorers. Considering a simple 1/2 inch flash-drive can hold tens or even hundreds of gigabytes of data, I'd imagine we could paint a very detailed and accurate picture of Earth in 2012 without necessarily sending up a huge or unwieldy vehicle. The problem is that whoever gets it might not know what to do with it, and a diagram in English likely won't help.
