lion is slow because it is software on software but snow leopard is clean install.

Certainly i feel Lion slower than snow Leopard on boot and shut down, i remember, when i shut down snow Leopard it takes only 3 seconds!

But with Lion only once it took 5 seconds....

Lion is definitely slower, it's cool, i like the new features, but, it's a little slower...

It's funny all those that "think" lion is faster.. it simply isn't. I just did this same test because I keep trying to justify the purchase of Lion, My test is posted here also Lion was almost 1/2 again LONGER to load...

@BASHA2929 ok let me start of by saying it was true there is no way i can fake the results two apple now have sorted the problems if you look at the date this was uploaded it was when it was just 10.7 and hadn't been out long. hopefully that clears things up

That's DP, not retail version of lion :)

@thecreativegeek The boot, the blue screen. On lion you don't have a blue screen anymore. I was using DP for a long time and the boot isn't the same at all

@MolaviSDK it is the retail version i brought it off the mac appstore and filmed it on the day of release the blue screen your on about is because i have three displays connected to my iMac so it turns them on i hope this makes sense and clears up an confusion

@Macman2510 How often do you reboot or shut down? Does it really matter? lol Lion has more productivity enhancements that make it a moot point anyway.

@TalesOfWar @Macman2510 this videos was for people to make up there own minds about 10.7 and 10.6 as some youtubers were saying the boot time was longer. an extra few seconds wait and you have the new technologies that are in 10.7 yes on one hand i think keep snow and then on the other i think go with lion at the end of the day its personal preference i love lion
